An optoelectronic semiconductor component and a method for manufacturing an optoelectronic semiconductor component are disclosed. In an embodiment, the component includes a plurality of active regions configured to generate a primary radiation and a plurality of luminescent material particles configured to convert the primary radiation into a secondary radiation, wherein the active regions are arranged spaced apart from each other, wherein each active region has a main extension direction, wherein each active region has a core region comprising a first semiconductor material, wherein each active region has an active layer covering the core region, wherein each active region has a cover layer comprising a second semiconductor material and covering the active layer, wherein at least some of the luminescent material particles are arranged between the active regions, and wherein a diameter of a majority of the luminescent material particles is smaller than a distance between two adjacent active regions.

An illumination device with at least one LED as the light source, the LED emitting primary radiation in the range from 370 to 430 nm of the optical spectral region (peak wavelength), this radiation being partially or completely converted into radiation of a longer wavelength by three phosphors which are exposed to the primary radiation from the LED and which emit in the blue, green and red spectral regions, so that white light is formed. A process for producing a phosphate of the lanthanoids is described. The process is based on a two-jet precipitation, starting from separate reservoirs of a rare earth salt solution and a phosphate solution which are introduced simultaneously by separate feedlines into an aqueous acidified initial charge with stirring at a pH of 0&#x2266;pH&#x2266;1. After the solutions are added, the pH is raised to a pH of &#x3e;2 to complete the phosphate precipitation.

LED-based planar light source

The invention relates to a printing method for applying dielectric layers made of solder glass on strip-shaped metal electrodes of discharge lamps, which are operated by means of pulsed dielectrically inhibited discharge. An aggregate having a higher melting temperature than solder glass, e.g. crystalline or amorphous aluminum oxide or quartz glass powder, is used as printing paste in said method. The typical percentage by weight of the aggregate is between 2 and 30%. Better wetting of the strip-shaped metal electrode is thus obtained.
