Changes of properties (for example, dampness, sliding characteristic, gloss) of a printing substrate web caused by a printing of a printing substrate web are corrected by a multifunction device that is arranged at an output of the printing device. In the multifunction device, arranged in succession in the transport direction of the printing substrate web are devices for buffering, for smoothing, for moistening, for cooling, for lubrication and for discharge of the printing substrate web. The devices are executed and adapted to one another such that they can be optionally deactivated by the uses without affecting the functions of the remaining devices.

A device for post-processing of printed print substrate webs comprises a smoothing device that is arranged immediately after the fixing device. The toner (still hot and doughy in terms of its consistency) is compressed with a predetermined pressure over a width of the print substrate web. It is thus achieved that less abrasion of the toner occurs in the further process and a specifically altered print image is generated.

Two problems are thus solved: the printing substrate is moistened and simultaneously lubricated.

A three-transistor SRAM memory cell includes a bistable field-effect transistor having a fully depleted floating channel region and a hysteretic gate voltage characteristic curve. The bistable field-effect transistor has a gate to be connected to a first bit line for the purpose of writing to the memory cell and a second channel terminal to be connected to a second bit line for the purpose of reading from the memory cell. The two bit lines can be identical. The connection between the bit lines and the bistable transistor can be effected through first and second respective transistors which are each controlled by a respective word line.

In the cleaning station of an electrophotographic printer, the stripper element is driven with the assistance of a cable roller arranged outside of a stripping chamber. The cable roller arranged in alignment with the through openings for the traction cable comprises guide grooves for the traction cable on its generated surface, these guide grooves proceeding left-hand or right-hand in a plurality of spirals or turns. Via a thread, the cable roller is arranged on a stationary rotational axis which has the same characteristic as the guide grooves in terms of direction and pitch or slope. As a result thereof, the traction cable is conducted on a straight line through the seals of the stripping chamber at a constant angle given movement of the cable roller.
