A trolley for a lifting device with lifting gear arranged on a support frame and wheels which are mounted on the support frame, via which the trolley can be moved on a support, and at least one first wheel of which is mounted on an axle. The axle can be driven together with the wheel by means of a drive motor. The trolley provides a reliable transmission of drive forces between the wheels and the rail with the drivable first wheel connected to at least one of the other wheels in a driving manner via a flexible drive such that the axle is arranged between the drive motor and the flexible drive and thus the flexible drive is connected downstream of the axle in a driving manner so that the flexible drive can be driven by the axle.

The covering element is divided into first and second covering parts such that to mount the covering element on the covering hood with the load cable in a reeved state, the first and second covering parts can be inserted into the inlet and outlet opening via the retaining strips of the first and second covering parts, then reach behind the edge of the inlet and outlet opening, and then be joined to form the covering element in a mounted state.

A lifting apparatus, especially a cable traction mechanism, comprising a base frame that has at least two base plates, further comprising at least two longitudinal beams which have a first end and an opposite second end and which interconnect the base plates and keep the same apart from each other. A brake for a hoist, includes a brake disk and a magnetic filed which is aligned transversely to the brake disk and generates a reactive force which inhibits a movement of the brake disk and is dependent on the rotation speed of the brake disk as well as a radial distance from the rotation axis. The magnetic field is formed by two magnetic poles arranged on both sides of the brake disk. A cost-efficient, compact and wear-resistant brake which operates in dependence on the rotation direction and is applicable in particular for a drive of a hoist, with the drive including a motor without generator-produced torque and/or with greatly load-dependent rotational speed, and a self-locking gear mechanism, can be implemented in such a manner that both magnetic poles are movable by the reactive force along a predetermined path from a rest position in opposition to a return force of an elastic member in rotation direction, wherein the radial distance is preset during movement along the path by a desired course of the rotation direction dependent and rotational speed dependent braking force and adjustable by the return force of the elastic member.
