An alpine ski with reinforcement layers, a top surface layer and a running surface layer. The ski has a width which is greater than 10 cm and is in the range of five percent and twenty percent of the length. The ski design makes skiing on soft snow, especially deep snow, possible for average skiers.

A ski comprising a multi-layered top web, a multi-layered bottom web, the webs having a sandwich web including a web core and two layers covering respective surfaces of the web core incorporated therein, a ski core arranged between the top and bottom webs, respective side ledges extending along the ski core, and respective side edges extending along the top and bottom webs.

A damping device is arranged between a surface of a ski and a binding holding a ski boot on the ski surface. The binding has a toe clamping member and a heel clamping member supported on a surface of a respective support portion. The damping device has a respective damping plate having an extension projecting from each support portion, the damping plate extensions extending towards each other in the same plane and having facing end faces defining therebetween at least a small gap. The damping plate extensions overlap in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the ski and are freely displaceable relative to each other in this direction.

A multi-ply ski with a top strap and a bottom strap. A core is arranged between the straps. The core is connected with plies of the top and bottom straps facing it via an adhesive layer. Side walls are arranged on both sides of the core. The side walls and the adhesive layer are formed by a foam plastic.

Multi-ply ski

A connecting arrangement for fixing a ski boot to a ski comprises a supporting element having thereon coupling devices in the form of joins, for gripping the ski boot. The supporting element is coupled to the ski by means of a mounting device. The mounting device may comprise two mounting parts which are mutually adjustable in a longitudinal plane extending perpendicularly to the upper part of the ski and substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the ski, or the mounting device may be deformable in the longitudinal plane mentioned above. Deformations of the ski, when in use, relative to the boot are thereby taken up.

Connecting arrangement

This invention concerns a reinforcing member intended to be incorporated to a resin. This member (1) comports a layer made of high strength filament materials combined with visco-elastic elastomer filaments with high damping properties. This member is applicable to composite structures which may enter into vibration.

Reinforcing member

A method of producing skis (1) with different vibration absorptions and skis produced by this method. Bores (4) traversing at least one of the side walls (14) are introduced into the core (15) of the ski and are filled with a damping material (5).

Method of producing skis and ski

Ski with an upper layer, a lower layer, and optionally an intermediate layer. The ski has a central core made of a hard material, especially a hard wood, and has a running surface and laterally extending edge protectors. At least one of the two outer surfaces of the core has one or more recesses for matching damper elements made of an elastic material.
