Fuel-injection pump for an internal-combustion engine

A fuel injection pump of the distributor type in which a pump piston is driven to reciprocate and rotate simultaneously, thereby acting as a distributer. For fuel injection quantity regulation, an annular slide that is displaceable on a pump piston is provided, by way of which the pump work chamber can be relieved. To attain a low injection rate in the idling range, in addition to a first outlet opening, controlled by an upper edge of the annular slide, second outlet openings axially offset from the first are provided, for a relief conduit of the pump work chamber which cooperate with a radial control opening, which communicates with the pump suction chamber and is disposed in the wall of the annular slide. In the opening direction of this control opening, a groove provided with a throttle is provided, by way of which during idling operation, prior to the opening of the first relief opening, fuel can flow out of the pump piston in order to decrease the pumping rate of the pump piston. For higher load ranges, the control opening is moved out of the operative range of the groove which is effected by rotating the annular slide or interrupting the communication of the control opening with the suction chamber.

Fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines

A fuel injection pump of a distributor injection pump type in which a quantity adjusting device is an annular slide that is axially displaceable on a fuel injection quantity regulator and which can additionally be rotated by a torque device. With the aid of this torque device, the control effectiveness of a second control edge, for instance in the form of a rectangular groove is controlled. The torque device is equipped with a clutch, which is embodied either via a spring or via a cam race. The torque device is actuated via an adjusting lever connected to the annular slide adjusting lever that serves to arbitrarily vary the fuel injection quantity at the direction of the driver of the motor vehicle.

An rpm governor for fuel injection pumps of internal combustion engines, having a pivotable spring tensioning lever which is engaged by an rpm signal transducer counter to the force, acting as the guide variable, of a governor spring and on which a pivot shaft following up the adjusting movement of the tensioning lever, of a two-armed transmission lever is disposed. The transmission lever is articulated on a quantity control member and is pivoted via an electrical adjusting motor. The adjusting motor is triggered by an electrical control unit, which processes engine and environmental parameters and effects a correction of the injection quantity.

A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines has at least one pump working chamber which is defined on one side by the end face of the pump piston and the wall of the cylinder, and on the other side by a screw closure, the screw closure comprising a stopper containing a plug. The stopper can be tightened onto the cylinder by a sealing sleeve, and the stopper preferably comprises an outer threaded ring and an internal threaded sleeve soldered into the latter.

A fuel injection system for Diesel internal combustion engines, particularly vehicle Diesel engines, is proposed which has a full-load stop dependent on atmospheric pressure. The position of the full-load stop which adapts the injection quantity to the variable ambient air pressure is derived from an air pressure adjusting member and transmitted onto the full-load stop via a transmission member. A locking mechanism, which locks the transmission device in a plurality of positions counter to the force exerted by the full-load stop, is associated with the transmission member. The transmission member has two disks draggably coupled within a predetermined range, one of which disks is actuated by the air pressure adjusting member and the other of which disks cooperates with the full-load stop. The draggable coupling effects an adjustment of the full-load stop, if the full-load stop is relaxed, so that the air pressure adjusting member need exert no more than a small adjusting force.

A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines is proposed, which is embodied as a radial-piston/distributor pump, having an axially fixed and rotationally driven distributor, on the end of which that is remote from the drive and protrudes freely out of the distributor cylinder guiding the distributor an annular slide is disposed, which can be both rotated and axially displaced by means of adjusting drives. Both the quantity adjustment and control of the instant of injection are effected in a electrically controlled manner by relief openings provided on the distributor and control openings which are provided on the annular slide. All of the foregoing can be effected precisely on the end of the distributor which is free of moment.

A fuel injection pump of the distributor pump type is proposed, in which the fuel quantity is governed with the aid of an annular slide displaceable on the pump piston. The annular slide is shifted by an electromechanical final control element. The shifting is effected via a shaft to which a connecting element is connected with an eccentricity (E); the connecting element is coupled to the annular slide. For balancing the mass of the thus eccentrically articulated annular slide, a counterweight is secured on the shaft.

In a pressure valve inserted in a fuel supply conduit between a fuel injection pump and an injection vavle of the internal combustion chamber and comprising a valve member and a locking member cooperating with the valve member and opening in the direction of the fuel supply, and a back-pressure relief valve including a closing element which closes an axial bore of the locking member, a throttle orifice is provided in the connection between the axial bore of the locking member and an axial recess formed in the connection element connected to the fuel supply conduit leading to the internal combustion engine so that no after-injections occur, and a sufficiently great stable pressure is maintained in the fuel supply system.
