An agricultural machine having at least one crop processing work unit, a plurality of crop transport units operatively assembled as a straw walker step, wherein the crop transport units convey crop streams in opposite directions and are spaced apart defining a crop through-gap, and a cleaning device having a forced-draught fan before the cleaning device, further comprising an exhaust fan located after the cleaning device, wherein the transport units are located between the forced-draught fan and the exhaust fan, wherein an air stream is produced by the forced-draught fan and the exhaust fan and is directed from the forced-draught fan to the exhaust fan, and wherein the air stream improves a cleaning process in the straw walker through-gap of the straw walker step. An agricultural machine having at least one crop processing work unit and an exhaust fan for carrying away a portion of the crop processed by working members for processing a plurality of crop streams out of an agricultural machine, comprising a crop distributing device operatively connected to the exhaust fan and having guide webs that are variable in position, wherein the crop distributing device has a first working position for receiving a first of the crop streams and a second of the crop streams and a second working position for receiving one of the crop streams, wherein in the first working position the first and the second crop streams are combined and discharged for broadcasting as a common crop stream, and wherein in the second working position the first of the crop streams is received and discharged and the second of the crop streams is conveyed and discharged from the working members in swath form separate from the first of the crop streams. The crop streams passing through the agricultural machine are conveyed with less turbulence. Long-stalked straw is deposited in a swath for later use, and short-stalked straw and chaff are discharged out of the agricultural harvester separate from and without whirling up again the crop swath.

Devices for regulating the processing of harvested crop

A support wheel for an agricultural implement includes a support frame connected with an agricultural harvesting machine and its receiving device; and at least one support wheel connected with the support frame. In a preferred embodiment, the support frame includes first and second supporting arms. The second supporting arm is oriented in a generally vertical direction and is variable in length. In one arrangement, the second support is a lifting cylinder or a telescopic arm and is provided with a damping element. In another arrangement, the support wheel assembly includes at least one steerable support wheel that is pivoted on a pivot shaft by a steering cylinder. A preferred embodiment includes first and second steerable support wheels connected by a coupling mechanism and pivoted about first and second pivot shafts by a common steering cylinder. In yet another advantageous embodiment, the common steering cylinder is operatively coordinated with a steered axle of the agricultural harvesting machine through a control unit.

A support for an agricultural implement carried on a receiving device of an agricultural machine includes at least one support wheel connected with the receiving device. A support wheel assembly for use with the disclosed method includes a support wheel and a wheel lifting cylinder connecting the support wheel with the receiving device. The load on the support wheel is adjustable via the wheel lifting cylinder. Adjustment is controlled in response to load sensors.

Method and assembly for supporting an agricultural implement

An agricultural harvesting machine has a comminuting device which includes a chopper rotor having a rotor shaft, and a conveying element pivotably connected with the rotor shaft. The conveying element is formed by a first arm and a second arm which are interconnected by a cross web. In one embodiment the cross web has a recess between the first and second arms, and a cutting element is provided which passes either through the recess of the conveying element or outside of the first and second arms of conveying element as the conveying element rotates. In another embodiment the conveying element is provided with both leading and trailing cutting edges arranged in sets. Initially one set of cutting edges is utilized and the conveying element can latter be reversed in position to utilize the other set.

Comminuting device in an agricultural harvesting machine

A harvesting machine having a dividing device for dividing granular material from stem- or stalk-like material, and a separating device connected downstream of the dividing device, in which there is a conveying unit for conveying the stream of material from the dividing device to the separating device. In order to satisfactorily discharge the stem- or stalk-like material from the conveying tines of the conveying unit, cleaning elements are provided for cleaning away the material being conveyed over the free ends of the conveying tines.

A self-propelled combine harvester has an axial-flow separating device including a chopping device with supporting rings which carry impact teeth. The main body of each separating rotor is equipped with several positioning profiles, which are rigidly connected to the main body and extend spirally around it. The supporting rings are provided with corresponding grooves. As a result, a form-locking connection is made between the supporting rings and the main body. The positioning profiles are toothed at the longitudinal edge leading in the direction of rotation of the separating rotor, so that the regions of the supporting rings adjoining the recesses engage in the tooth gaps are prevented from sliding axially. A locking ring is releasably mounted on the rear end of the main body. The number of parts is minimized and the construction of the supporting rings carrying the impact teeth and the main body of the separating rotor minimize the assembly time.

Easy assembly separator for combine harvesters

A combine includes a housing enclosing a rotary separator. The rotary separator's discharge area is built such that the quality of the chopped crops is improved and a continuous discharge of crops is guaranteed. Guiding devices in the area of the axial-flow chopping device and on the inside of the housing's cover are designed such that the half of the guiding devices which are located in front of the chopping knives are essentially perpendicular to the pivotal axis of the rotary separator. In the area of the chopping knives, the housing is designed as a swiveling shutter so that the annular gap, located between the rotary separator and the housing, can be narrowed by the swiveling shutter.

The present invention describes an intake zone (4a) for an axial separator (4) consisting of a rotor (6) that is configured as a cone in its front area, is tapered in the direction of the flow of materials and has a sleeve (12, 13, 16) or an intake zone for a similar axial flow threshing and separating device having at least one similar separating rotor (6) arranged downstream from a single or multi-cylinder threshing machine with a feed cylinder (3) connected thereto. The upper sleeve (12) of the intake zone (4a) has a semi-circular cross-section at the beginning of the rotor intake continuously running as far as the end of the intake zone (20) into an eccentric cross-section corresponding to the cross-section of the remaining upper sleeve. The spiral-shaped base bodies (10) of the cylindrical rotor intake (5) are staggered in relation to each other and are provided with interchangeable spiral-shaped wearing parts, the height of which decreases in the direction of the end of the intake zone (20) in such a way that a conical enveloping surface arises.

A self-propelling harvester thresher has a cutting and transporting unit, a threshing unit having a threshing basket and a threshing drum, a transferring drum and a separating unit having a separating rotor and a separating housing with a drawing-in opening. The threshing drum has a plurality of threshing segments arranged on its periphery and offset relative to one another. The transferring drum is provided with a plurality of drivers arranged on a periphery of the transferring drum and offset relative to one another similarly to the threshing segments of the threshing drum. The drivers are formed as individual point-like elements which are spaced from one another in an axial direction and in a circumferential direction of the transferring drum and engage in a product accumulation in a point-like manner so as to loosen and to spread the product accumulation and transport parts of the product accumulation in a longitudinal direction of the harvester thresher while other parts of the material accumulation remain behind.

A self-propelling harvester thresher has elements for cutting and transporting a harvested product, threshing unit arranged after the elements and operating in accordance with the principle of radial flow and also including a threshing basket and a threshing drum, a transferring drum arranged after the threshing unit for transferring substantially threshed straw, a separating unit transporting the harvested product in accordance with the principle of axial flow against a travelling direction of the harvester thresher and including at least one separating rotor and a separating housing provided with a drawing-in opening. The threshing drum has a plurality of threshing segments arranged on its periphery and offset relative to one another. The transferring drum in its region preceding the drawing-in opening of the separating housing is provided with a plurality of drivers which are arranged on a periphery of the transferring drum and are offset relative to one another similarly to the threshing segments of the threshing drum.

A tandem running gear on a self-propelled agricultural machine, in particular a combine, where in the front a drive axle (1) and on both sides thereof swing arms (3, 3A) are disposed under the chassis (2). The swing arms (3, 3A) can be charged by hydraulic work cylinders (8, 8A) in such a way that a respectively preset wheel load distribution between the drive wheels (5, 5A; 6, 6A) and the steered wheels (7, 7A) is attained using a measuring and control device for the hydraulic device.

Tandem running gear on a self-propelled agricultural machine

A self-propelling harvester thresher has two threshing mechanisms located one after the other in a direction which is transverse to a transporting direction and each having a threshing drum and a threshing basket. The threshing mechanism operate in accordance with the principle of a tangential flow and both drums of the thresing mechanisms rotate in the same direction. The threshing basket and the threshing drum of the first threshing mechanism and the threshing basket and the threshing drum of the second threshing mechanism are arranged with a gap relative to one another which gap is adjustable. The threshing drum of one of the threshing mechanisms which is the first threshing mechanism as considered in a working direction has a circumferential speed which is smaller than the circumferential speed of threshing drum of the other of the threshing mechanisms which is a second threshing mechanism as considered in the working direction.
