The invention relates to an apparatus for producing metals and/or primary metal products, in particular pig iron and/or primary pig iron products, in which a metal-containing charge material, in particular in fine particle form, is introduced, using pneumatic conveying, by means of a carrier gas stream, in the form of a stream of medium formed from the charge material and the carrier gas stream, into a melting unit, in particular a melter gasifier, for further processing. According to the invention, the charge material is introduced after the carrier gas stream has been separated off and separately at at least two introduction points, so that at least two partial quantities of the charge material can be introduced independently of one another and continuously or in stacked form.

Process and apparatus for producing metals and/or primary metal products

In a method for the production of molten metal, oxygen, a reducing agent and iron reduced in a reduction reactor are introduced into a melt gasifier, the reducing agent is gasified with oxygen and the reduced iron is melted by the heat which occurs, the cupola gas being used as at least a fraction of the reduction gas. Reacted top gas is drawn off from the reduction reactor. For increased efficiency at least part of the heat energy of the top gas and/or of the fraction of the reduction gas which is provided for use as cooling gas and as excess gas to be utilized for the indirect heating of at least one further gas used in the method.

Method and device for producing molten material

The invention relates to a process and an associated apparatus for producing metals and/or primary metal products, in particular pig iron and/or primary pig iron products, in which a metal-containing charge material, in particular in fine particle form, is introduced, using pneumatic conveying, by means of a carrier gas stream, in the form of a stream of medium formed from the charge material and the carrier gas stream, into a melting unit, in particular a melter gasifier, for further processing. A distributor bottom, particularly a nozzle-type distributor bottom, for steadily introducing process gas, especially process gas loaded with solid particles, into a process chamber, optionally to create a fluidized bed. The process chamber is disposed above the distributor bottom and is formed by walls of a reactor used for metallurgically, particularly thermally, treating feedstock. The distributor bottom is provided with a plurality of holes. Holes are arranged near the walls to prevent substances from attaching to the reactor walls. Special arrangements relate to nozzles and ducts.

The invention relates to an apparatus and method for manufacturing molten irons. The method for manufacturing molten irons includes providing a mixture containing iron by drying and mixing iron ores and additives, passing the mixture containing iron through one or more successively-connected fluidized beds to convert the mixture into a reducing material that is reduced and calcined, forming a coal packed bed, which is a heat source in which the reducing material has been melted, charging the reducing material to the coal packed bed and supplying oxygen to the coal packed bed to manufacture molten irons, and supplying reducing gas exhausted from the coal packed bed to the fluidized bed. In the providing a mixture containing iron, exhaust gas exhausted from the fluidized bed is branched to dry at least one of the iron ores and the additives. The apparatus for manufacturing molten irons uses this method for manufacturing molten irons. Through the use of the invention, at least one of iron ores and additives is dried and conveyed to thereby enhance energy efficiency and minimize the amount of required equipment.

Apparatus for manufacturing molten irons to dry and convey iron ores and additives and manufacturing method using the same

A nozzle distributor base for distributing a gas which is laden with fine solids particles, preferably for use in a fluidized-bed unit, in particular for the reduction of metal oxide-containing solids particles. At least one movable cleaning device on the distributor base reduces the formation of deposits on the distributor base or the nozzles thereof or at least partially removes deposits which have already formed. Elements in the distributor base, like chains, ropes or movable rods, clean the distributor base by direct mechanical striking action on the distributor base and/or the nozzles of the nozzle distributor base. A method for reducing the formation of deposits and/or for at least partially removing deposits on a distributor base uses the striking action.

Method and installation for the indirect reduction of particulate oxide-containing ores

According to a process for injecting metal-oxide-containing fine particles into a reducing gas, a central material stream formed by the fine particles and a carrier gas is introduced into the reducing gas and at least one gas stream formed by a secondary gas is directed against the material stream to ensure an optimum contact of the fine particles with the reducing gas, the gas stream atomizing the material stream and the fine particles being evenly distributed within the reducing gas.

To minimize the consumption of treating gas and to reduce entrainment of fine particles by the treating gas, a particulate material having a wide grain distribution and a relatively high portion of fines is used for treatment and the treating gas in the fluidized bed is maintained at a superficial velocity less than the velocity required for fluidizing the largest particles of said particulate material.
