A valve device for a hydraulic circuit () divides the incoming volume flow into at least two pre-determined partial flows for supplying hydraulic consumers (V, V) of the circuit () and has at least one pressure balance () and at least one orifice. Since the orifice is embodied as a variable orifice () controllable by a proportional magnet (), the opening area of the orifice varies. A flow regulator is then realized and can switch the regulated volume flow and/or proportionally adjust the regulated volume flow in a defined manner.
