A linear friction welding machine comprising a compression unit and an oscillator unit, each having a clamping holder for a workpiece. Both clamping holders are configured such that workpieces are held with the surfaces thereof to be welded, aligned and facing each other. The clamping holder of the compression unit is linearly movable relative to the clamping holder of the oscillator unit, and the latter is movable in an oscillating manner at right angles transversely with respect to the direction of travel of the compression unit and fixed to ends of vertical and horizontal supports which can be deflected laterally in a sprung manner in the oscillation direction, the other ends of which are anchored rigidly on supporting bodies. The supports are flexible under deflection in the oscillation direction but are designed to resist buckling when the clamping holders are loaded in the direction of travel of the compression unit.

Linear friction welding machine

A chain joint for link chains, having a main body in the form of an oval chain link with two mutually parallel longitudinal legs which are connected to one another at their ends via a rounded link portion, one defining a receiving opening for receiving chain links. The receiving opening is bounded at its ends by one longitudinal leg section, wherein, in the longitudinal leg, a threaded bore runs in the longitudinal direction and extends in both longitudinal leg sections. A closure screw engages the threaded bore in both longitudinal leg sections, so that, while maintaining the predefined sizes for outer circumference and link width of the main body, the main body, in the region of its longitudinal legs, includes a profile cross section that is larger than the profile cross section in the region of its rounded link portions.

Chain joint for link chains

A chain has alternating vertical and horizontal chain links and with each link having an oval profile. The vertical links having an end web supporting surface formed on its inside that engages with a complementary bearing surface on the end web of adjacent horizontal link. The supporting surfaces and the bearing surfaces of all end webs are widened beyond two lateral surfaces of the respective end web, and supporting surfaces and bearing surfaces associated with one another are formed in each case as complementary cylindrical surfaces extending between longitudinal limbs. A method for producing such, closed profile chain links are hooked into open profile chain links and then the latter are closed by welding. And wherein, all supporting surfaces and bearing surfaces associated with one another are formed in each case as cylindrical surfaces that complement one another.

A method for producing welded round and profile chains of chain links that are connected to each other. The chain links for round and profile chains produced by this method include two chain link partial pieces that are connected to each other by friction welding.

A link made from a D-profile steel length, that can be used to form a hoist chain including a substantially planar outer circumferential area and two side flanks opening into the same, each flank comprises a first planar flank section which is substantially perpendicular to the outer circumferential area. The flank section is connected on each side flank with the outer circumferential area via an adjacent planar bevel area which is inclined under a bevel angle obliquely in relation to the same in the direction towards the other side flank.

A chain drive (1), in particular for lifting devices, having a chain (3) which rotates about a chain wheel (2) and whose oval links (6) which are rotated in an alternate manner about 90.degree. interact as vertical and horizontal links with the chain wheel, wherein the horizontal links (6i) are received in pockets (7) of the chain wheel with substantially planar support surfaces (6) and can be supported with their curved ends (6') on teeth (10) which comprise convex flanks (12) and the vertical links (6s) are positioned in a groove (11) between the teeth, wherein the wire cross-section of the chain links (6) is a rectangle having a curvature adjoined thereto towards the inner part of the link and the convex flanks (12) and the planar support surfaces (8) contact each other in a substantially direct manner, i.e along a transition edge (13), so that the entire surfaces of the horizontal links (6l) and the vertical links (6s) can be supported substantially on the support surfaces (8 and 14) of the chain pockets (7) and/or of the groove (11), wherein each horizontal link (6l) can reach with the edge of a curved end (6') as far as the transition edge (13).
