The invention relates to a device for the dosed dispensing of an infusion fluid, in particular for administering an infusion for a patient, comprising a fluid vessel for accommodating the infusion fluid, and comprising an infusion line which is arranged between the fluid vessel and a patient access during the use of the device, wherein the fluid vessel and the infusion line are connected to one another, and the infusion line is designed such that at least a sub-section of the infusion line has a predefined inner diameter and a predefined length, such that the amount of infusion fluid accommodated in the fluid vessel is dispensed to the patient access over a predetermined time period in a manner dependent on a predefined height at which the fluid vessel is arranged above the patient access.

The invention relates to a device for closing an atrial appendage, particularly the left atrial appendage, comprising a closing element, designed to be arranged in an atrial appendage entrance and to prevent an entrance of blood into the atrial appendage and/or a leakage of thrombus out of the atrial appendage, which is configured that it does not, in the implanted state, protrude out of the atrial appendage into the atrium of the heart; a first anchoring element, which is arranged adjacent to the closing element and connected to the closing element, wherein the first anchoring element is designed for an anchoring on an atrial appendage tissue wall, a connecting element which is at least in a radial direction flexible and connected to the first anchoring element and a second anchoring element, which is connected to the connecting element and designed for an anchoring on an atrial appendage tissue wall.

Device for closing an atrial appendage

Disclosed is an implantable device () to be used in a human and/or animal body for occluding or partially occluding defective openings, hollow spaces, organ tracts, etc. or creating a defined connecting opening between walls, organs, hollow spaces, etc. Said implantable device () comprises a support structure which has a great length-to-width ratio along an axis () in a first operating state (primary shape) while having a smaller length-to-width ratio along said axis () in a second operating state (secondary shape). The support structure is provided with a proximal () and a distal section () and is formed from a single wire-type element () by intercoiling and/or intertwining and/or interweaving like a tissue and/or a cluster and/or a net. Also disclosed is a placing system especially for such an implantable device, comprising an advancing element (), a directing wire () and/or an inner mandrin, and at least one holding wire (). The directing wire () and the at least one holding wire () are used for cooperating with a proximal end of the implantable device (), the implantable device () being transformable from a primary shape into a secondary shape and vice versa by moving the holding wire () and the directing wire () relative to the advancing element ().

Implantable device

In an embolization device () with a main body () and with at least one thrombogenic fiber (), which main body can be converted from an elongate primary shape to a secondary shape, the at least one thrombogenic fiber () is arranged in a configuration wound around the main body. In a method for producing an embolization coil of this kind, a primary coil () forming a main body () of the embolization coil () has at least one thrombogenic fiber () wound around it, and the primary coil () is converted in shape to a secondary coil.

In an implantable device () for use in the human and/or animal body for closure or partial closure of defect openings (), cavities, organ passages etc or for providing a defined communicating opening between walls, organs, cavities etc comprising a carrier structure () which in a primary form has a large ratio of length to transverse extent along an axis (x) and in a secondary form has a smaller ratio of length to transverse extent along the axis (x), wherein the carrier structure () has a proximal and a distal portion () and is formed in the manner of a weft and/or mesh and/or layered cloth and/or gauze, at least the one portion () in the secondary form has a first part () facing outwardly away from the other portion () or towards same and a second part () which deploys first from the primary form into the secondary form and which is folded back in a direction towards the other portion () or inwardly on to the first part ().

A left atrial appendage occlusion device including an occluder disk configured to substantially prevent blood from at least one of entering and exiting the left atrial appendage, a middle portion including a coiled element and a first anchoring element. The coiled element connects to the occluder disk, has a substantially constant cross section and allows for variable length, variable orientation, and/or varied angles. The first anchoring element connects to the coiled element and includes scalloped edges that are configured to anchor the occlusion device to inner walls of the left atrial appendage and reduce the risk of one of penetration and perforation of walls of the left atrial appendage. The left atrial appendage occlusion device may also include a self-centering element that connects to the occluder disk and middle portion and is configured to center the occlusion device within the orifice of the left atrial appendage.

The device employs at least one twisted loop of memory shaped material housed in and movable relative to a hollow member such as a catheter.
