An apparatus for medical examinations includes a first arm that is rotatable about an axis, the first arm being configured to carry a radiation source or a radiation detector. The apparatus for medical examinations also includes a second arm that is rotatable about the axis, the second arm being configured to carry a radiation source or a radiation detector. The second arm is attached to the first arm and is rotatable relative to the first arm.

Apparatus for the flexible positioning of a radiation source and a radiation detector

An examination and/or treatment device includes a multi-axis robot having an articulated arm that can be moved in space as well as leads received in a flexible cladding tube and guided to one or more examination or treatment devices arranged on the articulated arm or a support arranged thereon. In an embodiment, on the articulated arm is provided a carriage arrangement including a carriage, having at least one deflection roller and that can be linearly displaced against at least one restoring element that builds up a restoring force. The cladding tube or a guide tube surrounding the cladding tube is guided around the deflection roller.

Examination and/or treatment device comprising a multi-axis robot

A system for protecting cables and lines is provided. The system includes a telescopic C-arm and a cable carrier. The telescopic C-arm includes an outer C-arm, an inner C-arm, an outer carriage, and an inner carriage. The outer C-arm, on an outer surface of the outer C-arm, is arranged in a displaceable manner along the outer carriage. The inner C-arm, on an outer surface of the inner C-arm, is arranged in a fixed or displaceable manner on the inner carriage. The inner carriage is arranged in a displaceable manner along an inner surface of the outer C-arm. The cable carrier connects the outer carriage and the inner carriage. The cable carrier accommodates the cables and the lines and is configured to move freely between the outer C-arm and the inner C-arm.

Arrangement for protecting cables and lines in C-arms, and X-ray imaging apparatus

The present embodiments relate to a holding arm for a detector that may be positioned on a first arm end or a diagnostic beam source that may be positioned on the first arm end. The present embodiments also relate to a radiation therapy arrangement with the holding arm. The holding arm may be positioned in a region of a second arm end in an emitter head region of a radiation therapy system and is essentially curved.

Holding arm and arrangement for supporting diagnostic irradiation in radiation therapy applications

An adaptive x-ray filter and an associated method for changing a local intensity of x-ray radiation are provided. The adaptive x-ray filter includes a first fluid absorbing x-ray radiation and hydraulically moveable positioning elements that change the layer thickness of the first fluid at a location of the respective positioning element by being able to at least partly displace the first fluid.

Radiotherapy system

The present embodiments relate to a radiation generation unit for a therapy system. The radiation generation unit has a radiation source and support components for the radiation source. The radiation generation unit includes a power source and has a mechanical interface, with which the radiation generation unit may be attached to a stand. Degrees of freedom of movement may easily be implemented using a corresponding movement of the radiation generation unit.

Radiation generation unit

A radiation therapy system including a radiation therapy apparatus for generating a therapeutic treatment beam, with which an object is irradiated, an imaging apparatus for generating a medical image of the object, and a positioning apparatus, with which the object is positioned in the radiation therapy system for irradiation and imaging purposes, is provided. The imaging apparatus and the radiation therapy apparatus are both rotatably mounted so that the object is positioned in a first rotation state in the imaging apparatus and is positioned in the radiation therapy apparatus in a second rotation state.

Radiation therapy system

The present embodiments relate to a system for irradiating a patient. The system for irradiating the patient includes a horizontal guide and a vertical guide. The vertical guide is connected horizontally-adjustably to the horizontal guide. The system also includes a support element that is attached vertically-adjustably to the horizontal guide and a radiation unit including a radiation source. The radiation unit is arranged on the support element. The irradiation system may be expanded by three further degrees of freedom.

Irradiation system

A radiation therapy apparatus includes a gantry having a central aperture that defines a cavity, in which a patient is positionable. The apparatus also includes a positioning device, with which the patient is positionable in the central aperture of the gantry, and a radiation head for generating therapeutic radiation. The apparatus includes an extension mechanism for the radiation head. The extension mechanism may be operated, such that in a first operating mode, the radiation head is disposable inside the gantry, such that the gantry has, on a side facing the positioning device, a front surface that constitutes a front limit of the radiation therapy apparatus toward the positioning device. In the first operating mode, the radiation head is behind the front surface viewed from the positioning device. In a second operating mode, the radiation head, viewed from the positioning device, may be moved out in front of the front surface.

Radiation therapy apparatus

An imaging apparatus for irradiating an object includes a source arrangement, from which x-rays from different positions that form an at least one-dimensional structure may be emitted. The imaging apparatus also includes a detector arrangement for detecting the x-rays. An object is positioned between the source arrangement and the detector arrangement so that, with the detector arrangement, the x-rays attenuated by the object are recorded. The imaging apparatus also includes an evaluation apparatus for evaluating the signals recorded by the detector arrangement. A region of the detector arrangement is assigned to different positions of the structure, from which x-rays are directed at the region in partial irradiations. The region is aligned relative to the structure, such that the partial irradiations that are produced from the different positions of the structure with a region of the detector develop a radiation geometry that irradiates the object in a planar fashion.

Imaging apparatus

A radiation therapy device includes an overhanging arm, from which a therapeutic treatment beam is operable to be directed onto the object to be irradiated, the overhanging arm being attached to a rotatable holder so that the overhanging arm is operable to be rotated around an isocenter, such that the therapeutic treatment beam is operable to be directed from different angles onto the isocenter. The radiation therapy device also includes a holder ring connected to the overhanging arm, the holder ring being arranged concentrically in a plane of rotation of the radiation therapy device. The radiation therapy device includes an x-ray source for diagnostic x-rays and an x-ray detector of the diagnostic x-rays. The x-ray source and the x-ray detector are operable to be moved along the holder ring so that a diagnostic x-ray image of a patient to be irradiated is produced from different directions.

Radiation therapy device

A radiotherapy installation is described, with a treatment head which is arranged on a treatment head support and which has an exit port for a beam generated in a beam generator, and with a patient table. The treatment head support is guided on a first rectilinear guide, which is guided on a second rectilinear guide arranged perpendicular to the first rectilinear guide, in order to move the treatment head relative to the patient table during the radiotherapy.

A radiation therapy device includes a radiation application apparatus, which is used to direct a therapeutic beam along a therapeutic beam center axis onto a target volume to be irradiated. The radiation therapy device also includes a diagnostic radiation source for diagnostic x-ray radiation, is the diagnostic radiation source being disposed eccentrically in relation to the therapeutic beam center axis in a rotatable manner on a rotation apparatus so that the diagnostic radiation source is operable to be rotated about the therapeutic beam center axis. The radiation therapy device further includes a detector for diagnostic x-ray radiation, which is used to detect the diagnostic x-ray radiation emitted from the diagnostic radiation source.
