A local coil, a magnetic resonance tomography scanner, a system including local coil and magnetic resonance tomography scanner, and a method for operating the system are provided. The local coil has an active detuning facility and a passive detuning facility with substantially separate circuits. The magnetic resonance tomography scanner includes a local coil actuation for actuating the active detuning facility and a local coil monitoring for the detuning facilities, which likewise have substantially separate circuits.

A transmission amplifier is provided for amplifying the signal in a wire-free transmission system. The tapping point is connected via a transformation network to a reference mass, where an impedance value of the transformation network corresponds to a quarter wave transform of a capacitance value of the first continuously variable capacitance at the first frequency.

An apparatus for checking for a presence of an electrically conductive body has at least one transmitting device and at least one receiving device. The transmitting device provides a transmission signal in the form of a magnetic field. The receiving device generates a reception signal from the transmission signal that is induced into the receiving device. The transmitting and receiving devices are configured in such a way that, when the electrically conductive body is absent, partial reception signals form in the receiving device on account of the induced transmission signal and the partial reception signals substantially cancel one another out in the reception signal.

A local coil system for detecting magnetic resonance (MR) signals in a magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) device includes an energy reception antenna for inductively receiving energy for the local coil system from a magnetic field changing over time with an energy transmission frequency. The energy reception antenna includes a conductor loop running in loop-like fashion from a first loop connection to a second loop connection. At least one path filter that blocks for harmonic frequencies of the energy transmission frequency is arranged over the course of the energy reception path, and/or at least one path filter that blocks for harmonic frequencies of the energy transmission frequency is arranged over the course of an energy reception path leading from the loop connections to a rectifier.

The present embodiments relate to a balanced-to-unbalanced transformer for converting a symmetrical high-frequency signal into an asymmetrical high-frequency signal. The balanced-to-unbalanced transformer includes two coil windings made of wire. The two coil windings are electrically insulated from each other and are wound on a winding form. Each of the two coil windings has an input at one end of the winding form for the symmetrical high-frequency signal and an output at another end of the winding form for the asymmetrical high-frequency signal. The two coil windings lie on top of one another in a radial direction of the winding form.

Balanced-to-unbalanced transformer for converting a symmetrical high-frequency signal into an asymmetrical high-frequency signal

A magnetic resonance apparatus includes a receiving system with at least one receiver configured to process at least one receive signal of a receive channel. The magnetic resonance apparatus further includes at least one switching device configured to variably assign a first number of receive channels to a first number of inputs of the at least one receiver. The switching device has a crossbar switch and a pre-selection circuit connected upstream of the crossbar switch. Each receive channel of a first group of receive channels is directly connected to an input of a first group of inputs that is permanently assigned to the respective receive channel.

Magnetic resonance apparatus

A circulator suitable for use in an external field, particularly of a magnetic resonance apparatus, has a planar ferrite structure. Instead of a permanent magnet, a field conducting device is provided that is designed to strengthen or weaken an external field, and/or at least one electromagnet is provided for generating an operating field. The operating field proceeds perpendicularly through the ferrite structure.

The method serves to determine the vibrational state of turbine blades, arranged on a rotor shaft, mounted such as to rotate in a housing and/or of guide vanes. At least one electromagnetic wave is transmitted into a flow channel in the vicinity of the blades, using means for the generation of at least one electromagnetic wave. The electromagnetic waves are at least partly reflected from at least one blade. The reflected part of the at least one electromagnetic wave is received by means for receiving and the vibrational state of the corresponding blade is determined from a signal corresponding to the at least one received electromagnetic wave.
