A virtual device for the limited pivoting of an object about a base virtual pivot point by means of a pivoting device, where a limiting device is provided for the pivoting angle. The virtual device is a mechanically stable and yet space-saving limiting device that is rotatable about an outer axis on the base and about an outer axis (') rotatable on the object, or on the slide, where the limiting device limits the distance and/or the angular position of the two axes relative to one another, with the proviso that the axes always occupy the same plane.

Virtual swivel device with movement limitation

An item of seating furniture, in particular an office chair, having a pedestal with a support column on which a first rotational axis for a backrest is arranged which is pivotable between an upright starting position and a reclined resting position. The backrest is articulately connected in its lower region to a seat part, and when the seat part is in one piece, the articulatable connection is provided about a second axis. When the seating furniture is in the upright starting position, the second axis is arranged below the first axis. The rear seat part is non-rotatably connected to the backrest. The front seat part or the one-piece seat part is supported by kinematicsin relation to the carrying frame. The front seat part or the one-piece seat part is lowered relative to the rear seat part or the backrest by means of kinematics when the backrest is pivoted back.

A device for turning an object about an axis which is stationary related to the device, the device including two manipulator modules, each provided with a base part, to which, rotatable on a base axis, an upper arm is linked, to which, rotatable on an arm axis, a lower arm is linked, which features an end axis. A mobile lifting device comprises a supporting carriage which is capable of travelling along a specific path and from which there is suspended, via a hoisting apparatus having at least two traction members a lifting platform which can be moved with a vertical component of direction in relation to the supporting carriage. In order to prevent uncontrolled lateral movements of the lifting platform, a stabilizing apparatus is provided which is formed by at least one essentially rigid pivoting member. The latter is swivellably connected, in one end region, to the supporting carriage and, in an opposed end region, to the lifting platform. In this way, a movement of the platform that possesses a vertical component of direction is always linked with a defined horizontal movement. If desired, this defined horizontal movement can be compensated for, wholly or partially, by a corresponding, oppositely directed translational movement of the supporting carriage.
