A method is provided for detecting x-ray quanta incident on a multi-pixel x-ray detector having a two-dimensional matrix composed of measurement-signal-generating pixels, wherein the multi-pixel x-ray detector is embodied as a direct solid-state detector, wherein the pixels, which generate a measurement signal within a predefined time interval and which in addition lie in a contiguous cluster composed of a plurality of pixels, are assigned to an event cluster by an evaluation unit and wherein their measurement signals are drawn upon for the purpose of approximating the position at which the x-ray quantum interacted with the multi-pixel x-ray detector.

Method and device for detecting x-ray quanta

An X-ray detector of conventional design having photodiodes and scintillator material arranged thereon is able, given a suitable read-out frequency matching a low dose to which the flat-panel X-ray detector is subjected, to obtain images during each read-out operation, from which images the energy of individual X-ray quanta can be derived. A sensor element is provided for conversion of x-radiation into an electrical measurement signal, the sensor element including an x-radiation-absorbing fluid arranged in a housing, and a pressure sensor arranged to detect a pressure of the fluid on the pressure sensor and convert the detected pressure into an electrical measurement signal. The present invention is an x-ray arrangement for examining patients, having an x-ray source and a digital flat panel detector characterized by a processing unit with a converter with an input possibility for a whole data record of system parameters as input parameters which can be easily adjusted and input by the user for conversion into a whole data record of image chain parameters as output parameters.

In a method, apparatus, and computer program encoded with a data structure, for processing radiographic images and digital fluoroscopy radiographic (DFR) images acquired with the same imaging system using a single detector, three different types of image orientation are defined. These are a 'system flip/rotation' that is dependent on the imaging system, a 'pre-flip/rotation' orientation that is applied before the images are shown on a monitor, and a &#x201c;post-flip/rotation&#x201d; that is applied after an image is shown on the monitor. For this orientation change, the original image must be stored and subsequently manipulated. For pre-processing, DFR images are subjected only to the system flip/rotation, whereas radiographic images are subjected to the system flip/rotation as well as the pre-flip/rotation. For post-processing, both the DFR images and the radiographic images are subjected to the post-flip/rotation.

X-ray image orientation in radiography and fluoroscopy

A combination radiography and fluoroscopy system includes in one embodiment a radiography radiation generator and radiography radiation receiver, a fluoroscopy radiation generator and fluoroscopy radiation receiver, and a single computer system connected to receive signals from the radiography radiation receiver and fluoroscopy radiation receiver. The single computer system includes signal processing paths for the radiography signal and for the fluoroscopy signal wherein some processes or modules are common between the paths and some are path specific. The path specific processes are preferably connected in parallel. Common controls and a common interface are provided to the monitor connected to the computer system. An alternative uses a single radiation receiver for both radiography and fluoroscopy, along with the single computer system Another alternative provides for separate computers for signal processing of the radiography and fluoroscopy signals, the two computers running substantially identical signal processing programs.

Combined image processing computer for medical diagnostics in the fields of radiography and fluoroscopy

Disclosed is a radiation image recording device comprising a source of radiation and a radiation receiver which are movable in a vertical direction in order to be positioned relative to a standing patient, and an image processing device for creating an output image based on the recorded image data. The source of radiation and the radiation receiver are movable in a controlled manner into successive image recording positions via a control device so as to record an area of analysis which exceeds the height of the active area of the digital radiation receiver, one radiation image being recorded in each image recording position. The positions are defined in such a way that the recorded radiation images cover the area of analysis while the image processing device is embodied so as to create a full image representing the entire area of analysis based on the image data of the individual radiation images.

Radiographic imaging device with a radiographic source and a digital radiographic detector, which are movable in their positioning in relation to a patient, and with a control device for movement control and for creating a radiographic image which can be output, with an optical marking device () provided at the radiographic source () which can be used to mark the height (hh) of the area to be recorded on the patient (P) and the control device () being embodied to automatically determine the required height and number of radiographic images to be recorded, where necessary to be joined together for output of an overall image depicting the entire patient area and the recording positions of the radiographic source () and of the radiographic detector () in relation to the defined height of the patient area.

An X-ray apparatus has a radiation source and a radiation receiver that are movably mounted at a stand arranged at the ceiling of an installation room. The stand has a first slide system and a second slide system with respective slide directions that are orthogonal relative to one another. A rotary device that is displaceable via the second slide system is provided at the second slide system. The radiation source and the radiation receiver are seated so as to be rotatable in common via the rotary device. The radiation source and the radiation receiver are arranged at respective telescoping carriers that are in turn displaceable at a third slide system that is arranged at the rotary device and that is rotatable by the rotary device.
