The invention relates to a method for triggering a transfer of at least one presence information message between the network node and a client terminal. In the method the network node is configured to receive information on a communication environment from at least one of the following: the communication network, the client terminal. The received information is analyzed at least by comparing information on the communication environment at least partially with at least one predetermined value. If the comparison indicates that the communication environment is suitable for the transfer of the at least one presence information message, the transfer of the at least one presence information message is triggered to the client terminal. The invention relates also to a network node and a system for implementing the method.

Scheduling of presence information transfer

A system for managing a subscription for a data communications network comprises a main device having a data connection to the data communications network under a subscription, at least one other device capable of forming a data connection to the data communications network under said subscription, means for determining a proximity of the main device and the other device with respect to each others, and means for applying a combined subscription charging model for the data connection of the other device when the proximity is verified. A method in which, in response to receiving, in a first user terminal, presence status information on a second user terminal and a corresponding presence status information identifier, the presence status information and a related command element is displayed on the first user terminal. In response to recognizing an act performed by the user of the first user terminal, where the act includes the user entering a presence comment via the command element, the presence comment and the presence status information identifier are transmitted from the first user terminal to a network apparatus.

Providing a presence service in a communications system

To enable syncing communication-specific history information on apparatuses of a user, one of which may be a legacy apparatus, in a multi-apparatus environment, to correspond to each other, communication-specific history information is also maintained in a network, and in response to an event changing the communication-specific history information, it is also updated in the network, and by means of the information in the network, corresponding communication-specific history information in the user's other apparatuses can be updated.

The invention relates to a method for establishing a circuit switched call between a first electronic device and a second electronic device over a circuit switched communication system, exchanging of capabilities of the first electronic device and the second electronic device, establishing a media component between the first electronic device and the second electronic device over a packet switched communication system. In the method also radio access network information is obtained to the first electronic device. The first electronic device requests an in-band signal to the second electronic device for indicating an availability of a type of the media component. The second electronic device detects the in-band signal in the second electronic device and indicates the availability of the type of the media component on a user interface of the second electronic device.

Method for performing a rich call capability indication in a mobile communication system

The invention is based on the idea of managing multimedia resource reservation by a solution in which, for a first user terminal, a first media terminal is searched and reserved, and a multimedia session is started. A multimedia session request is transmitted from the first user terminal to a second user terminal via an IMS subsystem. A second media terminal is searched and reserved for the second user terminal. The information on the reserved second media terminal is transmitted via the IMS to the first user terminal, which informs the first media terminal of the reserved second media terminal. After that, real-time data traffic can be transmitted via an IP network, e.g., the Internet, between the first media terminal and the second media terminal.
