The present disclosure relates to a protective coating composition for a hard surface, wherein the composition comprises an organic solvent and a polysiloxane having the general formula (I), wherein: R, R, R, R, R, R, Rand Rare independently an alkyl group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms; Y and Z are independently a divalent linking group selected from the group consisting of urea, urethane, oxygen atom, sulfur atom and alkylene having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms; A, B, L and M are independently a divalent slinking group selected from the group consisting of alkylene having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, with the proviso that if the combined linking groups formed by -A-Y-L- and -M-Z—B— are independently an alkylene, then the alkylene is independently different from ethylene; n is an integer from 5 to 1500; and m and p are independently an integer from 1 to 3. In another aspect, the present disclosure is directed to a method of reducing contamination from a hard surface.

Polysiloxane-based protective coating composition for hard surfaces

Methods of making components for a medicinal delivery device are described, in which a base composition comprising a polysulphone is applied to the surface of a component to create a base layer, a primer composition comprising a silane having two or more reactive silane groups separated by an organic linker group is applied to the base layer to create primed surface, and a coating composition comprising an at least partially fluorinated compound is applied to the primed surface. Method for making medicinal delivery device having multi-layer coating

Anti-icing stacks for protecting an aerodynamic surface are described. In some embodiments, an anti-icing stack includes an anti-icing layer, an elastomeric erosion protection layer, and an additional layer. The erosion protection layer is disposed between the anti-icing layer and the additional layer. The additional layer has a thickness greater than the thickness of the erosion protection layer and a tensile modulus of no more than the tensile modulus of the erosion protection layer. The additional layer may be a foam adhesive layer.

Composition including silanes and methods of making a treated article

A method of making a treated article having a metal surface. The method includes treating the metal surface with a primer composition comprising a secondary or tertiary amino-functional compound having at least two independently selected silane groups to provide a primed metal surface and subsequently treating the primed metal surface with a treatment composition comprising a fluorinated compound represented by formula Rf{&#x2014;X&#x2014;[Si(Y)(R)]}. An article treated by such a method is also disclosed. The use of a secondary or tertiary amino-functional compound having at least two independently selected silane groups as a primer for a metal surface before treatment with the fluorinated silane and a method of treating a metal surface with a treatment composition including the secondary or tertiary amino-functional compound having at least two independently selected silane groups and certain fluorinated silanes are also disclosed.

Treated article and method of making the same

The present disclosure relates to two-part polyurethane coatings having excellent erosion resistance and comprising a compound having a fluorinated segment. Additionally, these two-part polyurethane coatings can be cured under high relative humidity conditions. The present disclosure also relates to articles coated with those two-part polyurethane coatings and to methods of reducing erosion in an article, among other embodiments.

This invention relates to a polyether-amido-amine compound, obtainable by a two-step reaction of a poly-etheramine with an alkyl acrylate and a polyalkyle-neimine, whereas the polyetheramine and the polyalkyleneimine have at least one primary or secondary amine group, in which the first step comprises the reaction of the polyetheramine with the alkyl acrylate and the second step comprises the reaction of the polyalkyleneimine with the product of the first step. The invention also relates to a method for synthesizing a polyether-amido-amine compound by a two-step-reaction. Another object of this invention is a curable composition containing at least one polyether-amido-amine-compound of this invention and a method for coating the surface of a substrate or for binding at least two substrates together using such a curable composition.
