A camera shutter device including an optical opening and an electromagnetic drive mounted fixedly relative to the opening, and having a linearly guided, movable part which is fixedly connected to a first shutter blade to form one unit. The unit is connected to a drive end of a two-armed lever which is rotatable about an axis of rotation. A counterweight is provided at an output end of the lever. A second weight force acting on the counterweight causes a second torque about the axis of rotation of the lever, which counteracts a first torque which is caused by a first weight force acting on the unit.

Method and apparatus for the correction of a non-uniform sensitivity of detector elements in thermographic cameras in which background frames of an internal reference are recorded in shutter phases when the beam path of the thermographic camera is closed, the variations between the background frames of the shutter phases are logged, and an updated background frame is generated and used for the correction of at least one image frame, characterized in that the updated background frame is generated from at least one newly recorded background frame and a background frame to be updated in that the data of every pixel of the newly recorded background frame are multiplied by a first factor and are added to the data of every pixel of the background frame to be updated which are multiplied by a second factor, wherein the first factor is a value between zero and one, and the second factor is the difference between one and the first factor, so that the data of every pixel of the updated background frame are in the form of an accumulated weighted average.

Method and apparatus for the correction of a non-uniform sensitivity of detector elements in thermographic cameras

The present invention is directed to a thermographic camera and to a method for generating thermal images with this thermographic camera as is described generically in DE 698 30 731 T2. The object of the invention is to provided a possibility for achieving an optimal signal resolution at low object temperatures in an economical manner without signal overload at high temperatures. This object is met by a method for the recording and reproduction of thermal images of a scene and/or of an object, comprising the following steps: a pixel-based thermal image frame is generated by means of IR optics and a pixel-based detector unit; a dark image is generated for implementing a non-uniformity correction (NUC) to eliminate non-uniformities arising from the detector and/or disturbance sources in the optical beam path; the existing pixel-based thermal image frame is corrected by weighting the individual pixel signals with a nonlinear characteristic line which is generated and stored beforehand for generating a corrected output thermal image; and finally, the corrected output thermal image is supplied to a display unit or to an interface for external equipment.

Thermographic camera and method for the recording and/or modification and reproduction of thermal images of a scene and/or of an object

A thermal imaging camera, with an electromechanical shutter device for interrupting the ray path from time to time, has a motor (), a motor shaft () and a shutter flag (). The motor shaft () and the shutter flag () are in connection with one another via a crank-and-rocker mechanism. The crank-and-rocker mechanism includes a crank () rotatable about the motor shaft () with a crank pin () and with a rocker (), at one end of which an elongated hole () is provided, which forms a rectilinear sliding joint together with the crank pin (), and at the other end of which the shutter flag () is formed.

Thermal imaging camera with a fast electromechanical shutter device

A thermal imaging camera is provided with at least two different sensitivities for alternating reading and with has a device for linking at least two more and less sensitive images read consecutively. The recording and displaying of thermal images makes it possible to combine images with two different dynamic ranges in a common thermal image, wherein the noise and drift of the pixel signals as well as the amount of storage needed for buffering and processing are reduced at the same time. An image buffering unit is designed as a common accumulator () for both more sensitive and less sensitive original images (B) and makes available a common output image (A). An image weighting unit () is arranged upstream of the accumulator () for weighting the more sensitive and less sensitive original images (B) read alternatingly from the detector unit () pixel by pixel with a settable percentage weighting function (G) and for weighting the output image (A) being buffered in the accumulator () pixel by pixel with a weighting function (I&#x2212;G) complementary to the settable percentage weighting function as well as for the additive superimposition of the two images (B; A) for the purpose of continuously updating the output image (A).
