The invention relates to a sealing element at least comprising a housing area, at least one dynamically active sealing area and at least one statically active sealing area which at least partially interacts with the housing area. The invention is characterized in that the static sealing area is at least partially laminated with a hardenable material containing a predetermined number of friction-reducing elements.

Seal assembly

A sealing system for a shaft, in particular for a combustion engine, with a motor casing cover having a clearance hole for take-up of a carrier is shown having at least one dynamically and at least one statically effective sealing area and is equipped with a centering area that allows centering relative to the clearance hole, when the carrier is securely connected to the motor casing cover by means of a quarter-turn fastener. The centering area is arranged on the level of the quarter-turn fastener in such a way that the dynamic sealing area is aligned with a shaft and the static sealing area with given pressure can be used in a corresponding section of the motor casing cover.

Sealing system for a shaft

The invention relates to an instrument panel for motor vehicles, made of a thermoplastic material and providing an invisible cover for an airbag system which, as seen from the inside of the motor vehicle, is positioned behind the instrument panel (rear side). The instrument panel is characterized in that it has a weakened section on the rear side which defines an opening area in the instrument panel for the airbag and fully surrounds said opening area, and in that it has an ejection channel for the airbag fixed to it. The opening area in the instrument panel designed for the airbag is connected with the ejection channel by means ofa polymer hinge. Both the ejection channel and the polymer hinge are fixed at least to the opening area of the instrument panel designed for the air bag by means of a welded material. The instrument panel, ejection channel and polymer hinge are made ofa thermoplastic material having the same polymer basis but flexibilized in different ways.
