A roof edging system that includes a base anchor, a fascia cover, and a compression system that is used to provide compression thereby, allowing the fascia cover to snap into place on the base anchor.

Edge metal system

A design and fabrication technique whereby a coping cap and/or transition can be supplied with mitered corner sections and other transitional components which utilize the identical prefinished or bare sheet metal material(s) without any reliance on exposed mechanical fasteners, welding, soldering, or post-applied paints. This is essentially accomplished by joining the pre-finished sheet material(s) together using a mesh screen and adhesive on the underside (non-exposed) face of the sheet material(s).

Non-welded coping caps and transitions

A design and fabrication technique whereby a coping cap and/or transition can be supplied with mitered corner sections and other transitional components which utilize the identical prefinished or bare sheet metal material(s) without any reliance on exposed mechanical fasteners, welding, soldering, or post-applied paints. This is essentially accomplished by joining the prefinished sheet material(s) together using a mesh screen and adhesive on the underside (non-exposed) face of the sheet material(s).

An anchoring clip system that includes an anchoring clip that has a top flange portion and a base flange that can be connect to a substructure, and a cap member designed to be inserted over a portion of the roof panels so as to secure the roof panels to the anchoring clip. The anchoring clip system can optionally be designed to allow for fluid flow through or on one or more components of the anchoring clip system. The anchoring clip system can optionally include a locking crown that improves the wind uplift resistance of the panels.

Anchoring system for a roof panel system

A system for roofing a substructure has a plurality of roof panels, a plurality of support members and a plurality of cap members. The roof panels each have a horizontal channel section bounded on a pair of opposing side edges by side flanges, with an upper end of each side flange bent to provide a groove opening outwardly laterally from the panel. The support members each have a pair of oppositely extending base flanges and a pair of oppositely extending top flanges, the base flanges and top flanges being positioned along a vertical web member. The top flanges are adapted to be received in the groove of one of a pair of adjacent roof panels and one of the base flanges of each support member is adapted to fasten the support member to the substructure. The cap members have side walls to retain the top flanges in the grooves without fastening the roof panel to the support member, thereby allowing some relative movement upon deflection of the roof panel. The length of the support members allows a single support member to be fastened to each of a pair of spaced-apart substructural members, such as purlins.

Roof panel system for improved wind uplift resistance

A metal canopy for a structure has an expansion strut which is directly affixed to a wall of the structure and at least one panel assembly for attachment to the expansion strut. More than one of the expansion struts may be affixed to the wall in abutting relationship to lengthen the span of the canopy. The expansion strut has flanges around its edges for attachment of the panel assembly or assemblies. A plurality of outwardly angled tabs are also positioned on the strut. Each of the panel assemblies has at least two panels, each of which has an upwardly extending flange along each of its sides, with adjacent panels aligned with corresponding flanges in abutting relationship. The panel assembly also has first and second end pieces affixed to an outside edge of the panel assembly along the outside edge of the outermost panels, with the end pieces having a bottom edge and a side edge. A trim strip is affixed to the bottom edge of the at least two panels and a seam cap is affixed atop the abutted flanges internal to the panel assembly. When the flange along the top edge of the panel assembly is inserted into and affixed to the top edge flange of the expansion strut, the bottom edge of the end pieces seats atop the bottom edge flange of the expansion strut, the outwardly angled tabs support the panels from below and the side edge of the end pieces bears against the expansion strut and may be affixed to the side edge flange thereon.
