A sprag for a sprag-type freewheel clutch having a profile comprised of multiple profile sections, the sprag having at least the profile sections of an inner engagement curve, an outer engagement curve and a first and a second lateral curve, wherein the outer and inner engagement curves each form a component of a logarithmic spiral.

Sprag

A freewheel coupling () is provided having clamping bodies (), which are arranged between an inner ring () and an outer ring () and which have a narrow section (). A single cage () is arranged between the inner ring () and the outer ring () with a plurality of pockets (). Each of the pockets () has an area () that is narrower in the axial direction and an area (), which is adjacent to this narrower area, which is wider in the axial direction, and which is provided for holding a clamping body (). A spring band (), which is arranged radially within the cage (), has an original curvature in the unloaded state, wherein the curvature radius exceeds a radius of the cage (), and spring tongues (), which are provided for spring mounting of the clamping bodies (), are directed radially inwardly.

Freewheel coupling

A freewheel coupling () is provided having a gap () formed between a bearing inner ring () and a bearing outer ring (). At least one of the bearing rings () is constructed as a sleeve formed using a non-cutting method. Clamping bodies () are arranged in the gap () and have a throat (). A spring band () with spring tongues (), which are aligned tangentially, and which can be deflected in the radial direction, contact the clamping bodies () in the area of the throats (). A cage () with recesses () that holds the clamping bodies () is arranged radially outside of the spring band () in the gap ().

In an overrunning clutch comprising clamping elements () arranged behind one another in peripheral direction between a circular cylindrical inner ring () and a concentric outer ring (), said clamping elements () being guided in pockets () of a cage () while being loaded by spring tongues () of a band spring () that bears radially against the cage (), each of the pockets () for receiving a clamping element () comprising a limiting wall () that enables a support of the clamping element () on the cage (), the cage () comprises a reinforcing ledge () formed integrally on an outer surface of the cage () in every radial region comprising the limiting wall ().

Overrunning clutch

A rolling bearing cage comprising a first side ring ( ) and a second side ring ( ) that are connected to each other by crossbars ( ) so that pockets ( ) for receiving rolling elements ( ) are formed, and lubrication grooves ( ) extend in axial direction up to said first and second side rings ( ) on at least one of peripheral surfaces and bore sections of the crossbars ( ) wherein flow channels ( ) are arranged in a fractional region of the lubrication grooves ( ) and are set back relative to the lubrication grooves ( ) in at least one of a radially inward and a radially outward direction. In this way, lubrication of such a bearing is substantially improved.
