A faucet includes a housing defining hot and cold inlets and an outlet and hot and cold fluid conduits in communication with the hot and cold inlets. A mixer within the housing receives fluids from the fluid conduits and outputs one of the fluids or a mixture thereof. The mixer includes a valve and an actuator configured to move the valve to different positions establishing various ratios of fluids output by the mixer. A temperature actuated flow reducing device within the housing downstream of the mixer restricts a flow of fluid to the outlet when a temperature of the fluid exceeds a predetermined temperature. A first pressure compensating flow regulator upstream of the mixer controls a flow of fluid from the hot fluid conduit to the mixer while a second pressure compensating flow regulator downstream of the mixer controls a flow of fluid through the outlet.

A flushometer valve assembly comprises a flushometer valve body including an outlet, an outlet tube including a conduit extending along a longitudinal axis, and a flushometer valve tube-to-body coupling that directly fastens the outlet tube to the flushometer valve body.

A cover assembly for an automatic flushometer includes a locking ring configured for coupling to a flush valve body and configured to be disposed about a rotational axis. The locking ring defines a recess in a radially outer perimeter. A cover defines an opening at one end and a cavity configured to receive a solenoid of the flushometer. The cover has a projection extending radially inwardly from a radially inner surface of the cover. The projection defines a circumferential groove. The projection is configured to allow movement of the cover relative to the locking ring along the rotational axis when aligned with the recess in the locking ring. The groove is configured to receive a portion of the locking ring circumferentially adjacent to the recess upon rotation of the cover about the rotational axis thereby preventing movement of the cover relative to the locking ring along the rotational axis.

Cover assembly for an automatic flushometer

A tub spout with a diverter mechanism includes a housing having an external surface and an internal cavity that includes a spout outlet. A water supply conduit is located within the internal cavity and provides a fluid path that is in fluid communication with the spout outlet. A push button extends outwardly of the external surface of the housing and is movable relative to the housing between a non-diverting position where water exits the spout outlet and a diverting position where water is prevented from exiting the spout outlet. A diverter gate is positioned within the internal cavity to selectively block the fluid path and is coupled for movement with the push button. A resilient member biases the push button to the non-diverting position.

Push-activated tub spout

A flush valve has a valve body having an inlet and an outlet, and a piston disposed in the valve body between the inlet and the outlet. A surface is disposed in the valve body for seating the piston. The surface tapers inwardly as it passes into the outlet wherein the taper improves the flow characteristics of fluid passing by the taper thereby minimizing water hammer and leakage therethrough.

Flush valve seat

A spray system, which reduces contamination caused by toilet flushing, is activated during a flush cycle to contain waste matter and prevent escape thereof from the bowl. The system is mounted above the level of water in a toilet and includes an aperture that creates a spray and is fluid communication with the flush valve of the toilet. Accordingly, each time the flush valve is activated, a portion of the water provided to the toilet is directed to the aperture to create a spray to minimize escaping effluent.

Containment apparatus for toilets

A flush valve has a valve body having an inlet and an outlet, and a piston disposed in the valve body between the inlet and said outlet to regulate flow through the valve body. The piston has a shoulder. A neck depends from the shoulder and has a smaller perimeter than the shoulder. And, a flange depends from the neck and has a larger perimeter than the neck. Better flow characteristics of fluid about the shoulder, neck, and flange minimize noise coming from the valve and increase reliability thereof.

Flush valve

A flush valve has a valve body having an inlet and an outlet. A piston is disposed in the valve body between the inlet and the outlet. A piston cap is disposed within the valve body and has a wall along which the piston is guided. A groove is disposed in the piston cap wall for equalizing pressure on sides of the piston translating therein. The groove has a shallow, semicircular shape whereby a possibility that fluid flow therethrough is diminished is minimized.

A flush valve has a valve body having an inlet and an outlet, a piston disposed in the valve body between the inlet and the outlet, a cartridge disposed in the outlet and a plurality of check valves disposed serially within the cartridge for preventing backflow through the outlet and wherein vacuum effects are minimized.

An apparatus includes a drain having an opening, the opening having an outboard edge, a cover having an underside having a portion including a downwardly extending curved section and an outer edge, wherein the portion extends a first distance beyond the outboard edge and wherein cover extends a second distance above the drain such that a ratio of the second distance to the first distance is about 1 or less and such that splash and aerosolization from under the cover beyond the cover is minimized.

An apparatus for providing flushing fluid at different rates has a valve for controlling flow through a housing, the valve having a reset area to close the valve, a first bleed valve for constantly providing high pressure fluid to the reset area through a first path, a second bleed valve for providing high pressure fluid to the reset area through a second path, and an actuator. The actuator has a first position in which fluid is prevented from escaping from the second path, a second position in which fluid is allowed to escape from the second path and the second bleed valve is activated, and a third position in which fluid is allowed to escape from the second path and the second bleed valve is deactivated. If the second bleed valve is activated, the first bleed valve causes the reset area to close the valve in a first time period and if the second bleed valve is not activated the first and second valves cause the reset area to close the valve in a second time period wherein the second time period is less than the first time period.

Secondary bleed valve for dual flush valve

A flush valve utilizes a sensor to determine how close a user is to a toilet to determine whether to utilize a longer flush with more water to remove, typically, solid waste or a shorter flush with less water to remove, typically, liquid waste. If a user is in a zone that is closer to the toilet, a longer flush is deemed necessary and if a user is in a zone farther from the toilet, a shorter flush is deemed necessary. Users sometimes move between one zone or the other and the flush valve determines whether a user spends more or less time in the zones to determine whether to provide a shorter or a longer flush.

Dual flush electronic flush valve

An engine cooling module which includes a shroud , a heat exchanger , a fan , a motor for driving fan , and a plurality of air dams . Shroud , circumscribing the fan, has a main opening to allow air to pass through the fan to or from a heat exchanger . Fan is associated with the shroud to be adjacent to the fan opening to permit air moved by the fan to pass through the heat exchanger. Air dams allow air to flow more easily in one direction than the opposite direction. In the fan flow direction, air dams provide relatively little resistance to the flow. In the direction opposite to fan flow direction, air dams provide more resistance than as compared to the resistance when air flows in the fan flow direction. Under ram air conditions (e.g., when the vehicle is moving), the use of air dams can reduce the load on the fan's motor by cooling properties of ram air, while reducing recirculation, thereby increasing efficiency.

There is disclosed an improved radiation source module having a power supply adapted to be at least partially immersed in a fluid being treated. In one embodiment, the power supply is partly immersed in the fluid being treated. In another embodiment, the power supply is fully submersible in the fluid being treated.
