An electric-parking-brake for a utility-vehicle, including: a feed-line for brake-pressure air; a discharge-line for brake-pressure air for a pneumatic-brake-device; a first-valve and a second-valve, each being switchable between a stable-state and an activated-state in response to electrical control-signals; and a valve-device which is connected between the feed-line and the discharge-line and exhibits a control-input, the valve device being switchable between a stable-state and an activated-state in response to control signals at the control-input, the feed-line being connected to the discharge-line in the activated-state, in which the first-valve in the stable-state or in the activated-state connects the control-input of the valve-device to the discharge-line, to retain a current-state of the valve-device when the brake-pressure air is applied to the discharge-line, and in the activated or stable state connects the control-input to the second-valve. Also described are an electric parking brake system, a utility vehicle, and a related method.

Electric parking brake

A vehicle-electrical-apparatus, including: a service-brake-valve-device (SBVD) having an electropneumatic service-brake-device (ESBVD), which is an electronically-brake-pressure-regulated-brake-system (EBPRBS), having an ESBVD, a first-electronic-brake-control-device (EBCD), electropneumatic-modulators (EM) and pneumatic-wheel-brake actuators (PWBA); a sensor-device; the first-EBCD controls the EMs generating pneumatic brake-control-pressures (PBCP) for the PWBAs, and the ESBVD has a service-brake-actuation-member (SBAM) and an electrical-channel containing an electrical-brake-value-transmitter, actuate-able by the SBAM, and a second-EBCD couples brake-request signals into the first-EBCD depending on the AS, and, within a pneumatic-service-brake-circuit, a pneumatic-channel in which a control-piston of the SBVD is loaded with a first-actuation-force (AF) by actuating the service-brake-actuation-member based on a driver brake-request, and the control-piston controls a double-seat valve of the SBVD to generate PBCPs for the PWBAs; generating a second AF that acts on the control-piston; brake slip/driving-dynamics-regulation are in the second-EBCD, the second-EBCD receives sensor-signals, and for braking requested, generating the second AF to perform a brake-slip and/or driving-dynamics-regulation.

Electrical equipment of a vehicle having redundant ABS and driving dynamics control

A method for operating a vehicle brake system, including: classifying a fault signal, indicating a fault of an electronic actuating device of the brake system, the actuating device outputting a brake pressure for a brake of the vehicle in a normal operating mode and a pneumatic actuating device for outputting the brake pressure in a backup operating mode, as a fault signal of a first fault category if the fault is a fault in which a switchover from the electronic actuating device afflicted with the fault to the pneumatic actuating device leads to an improvement in the outputting of the brake pressure; and switching from the electronic actuating device to the pneumatic actuating device, to output the brake pressure using the pneumatic actuating device, if the fault signal is a fault signal of the first fault category. Method and device for operating a brake system for a vehicle and brake system

A braking system and a method of operating such a braking system are provided for a vehicle having at least partly electric braking, a steering device containing an electric or electromechanical steering device, an electronic steering controller and an electric steering adjuster and containing a service brake device. The system includes an electropneumatic service brake device containing an electropneumatic service brake valve device, an electronic brake controller, electropneumatic modulators, pneumatic wheel brake actuators, a service brake actuating element, and at least one electric channel () with at least one electric brake value transmitter which senses activation of the service brake actuating element. The at least one electric brake value transmitter produces actuation signals which are relayed to the electronic brake controller. The electronic brake controller causes a first actuation force to be applied to at least one control piston of the service brake valve device to control at least one double seat valve of the service brake valve device to generate pneumatic braking pressures or brake control pressures for the pneumatic wheel brake actuators. The electronic controls are further configured to generate a second actuation force on the at least one control piston when a brake request independent of the driver's request exists, independent of a driver brake request. The electropneumatic service brake device is supplied with energy independently from energy supplied to the electropneumatic service brake valve device and the electric or electromechanical steering device.

A service brake device of a vehicle, including at least one ABS pressure control valve which is controlled for slip-regulated braking by an electronic control unit, has at least one inlet valve and one outlet valve and is arranged upstream of a pressure medium actuated brake cylinder, a pressure medium line which supplies the ABS pressure control valve with pressure medium and into which a pressure controlled by a valve device arranged upstream of the ABS pressure control valve is feedable, wherein the valve device feeds a pressure derived from a reservoir pressure of a pressure medium reservoir into the pressure medium line as a function of an activation by the electronic control unit.

Main brake device of a vehicle having test run for valves

The invention relates to a motor vehicle comprising a compressed-air braking system. Said vehicle has two braking cylinders, which can be impinged by compressed-air from a compressed-air reserve by means of a manually actuated brake valve. The braking cylinders have ABS pressure-control valves, which can be selectively impinged by compressed air from the compressed-air reserve, using a slip control valve. A stability sensor detects a motor vehicle position and a control device selectively supplies the slip control valve and the ABS pressure-control valves with compressed air, in accordance with the signals of the stability sensor.
