An additive layer manufacturing method is disclosed for producing a three-dimensional object and a corresponding object. Layers of powder material are applied to a carrier and each layer is irradiated with a laser beam or a particle beam only in areas of the layer corresponding to the three-dimensional object to be produced. Irradiation occurs so the powder material in the corresponding areas is locally melted or sintered. An elongate portion of the object is constructed so longitudinal channels extend at an angle of more than 45&#xb0; to the direction of the force of gravity, and along its entire length the longitudinal channels are formed so that in cross section perpendicular to the direction of extension of the elongate portion the minimum distance to the outer surface of the elongate portion is not smaller than the minimum distance to the closest neighbouring longitudinal channel or the closest neighbouring longitudinal channels.

According to the manufacturing method of the invention the line component, in particular an additively fabricated line component, comprises a line element for conducting a fluid from a first opening to a second opening, and a line branching connected with the line element for conducting the fluid to a third opening, wherein an outer region of the line component is designed load-compliant by means of a numerical optimization program and thereby includes a multitude of irregular topological structures in its outer region. In the manufacturing method of the line component a notch is incorporated on the inside of the line element, which serves to relieve a tension in a highly loaded state of the line component or the line element, a particle-filled gas stream is guided through the interior of the line component, in order to smooth the inside of the line component and/or the line component is subjected to a pressurization, in order to produce a plastic deformation on an inner surface of the line component.

Method for manufacturing a line component

An additive layer manufacturing method is disclosed for producing a three-dimensional object and to a corresponding object. Layers of a powder material are applied to a carrier and irradiated, before the following layer is applied, with a laser beam or particle beam selectively only in the areas of the layer which correspond to the three-dimensional object to be produced. Irradiation occurs such that the powder material in the corresponding areas is locally melted or sintered. A first portion is constructed before a second portion or the first portion is provided as a separate component, on which a support structure and second portion are constructed. The support structure is constructed in the form of a plurality of support legs, which extend from the first portion to the second portion and are connected thereto at their opposite ends and are spaced apart from one another at least along part of their length.
