The disclosure relates to a piezo actuator device, preferably for controlling a dispensing of an application agent onto a component, including: at least one movable valve body for opening and closing at least one valve seat, at least one preferably pivotable actuating arm for actuating the at least one valve body, and a piezo actuator configured to move the at least one valve body to close and/or open the at least one valve seat.

The disclosure concerns a mixing valve for mixing two coating agent components (e.g. master batch and hardener) to form a multi-component mixture, with two coating agent inlets for supplying the two coating agent components and with two coating agent valves for controlling the coating agent flow through the two coating agent inlets, as well as with a coating agent outlet for discharging the multi-component mixture in a specific outflow direction. The disclosure provides that at least one of the coating agent valves is formed as a rotary slide valve having two plane-parallel valve discs which are rotatable relative to each other about an axis of rotation.

The disclosure concerns an applicator for applying a coating agent (e.g. thick matter) to a component (e.g. motor vehicle body part) with a nozzle with a nozzle opening with a certain nozzle geometry, in particular for applying a thick matter bead to a component surface. The invention relates to a compensation cylinder unit that acts as a drive for the electrode arms of a welding device. The unit comprises a cylinder and at least two pressure chambers, which are sub-divided by a piston assembly and which can be alternately supplied with a pressurized medium by means of a valve assembly for controlling the drive displacement. According to the invention, the valve assembly comprises a proportional valve which can be controlled by a control unit, first in accordance with harmonized path signals that represent the position of the piston assembly and then by pressure signals that respectively represent the pressure in the pressure chambers, in such a way that the difference between the pressures that prevail in the pressure chambers in a predeterminable position of the piston assembly assumes a constant value that represents the weight compensation force of at least one electrode arm.

Method and apparatus for controlling electrode arms of a welding device

A pneumatic actuator system () is provided according to the invention. The system () comprises a pneumatic actuator () including an actuator component (), with the pneumatic actuator () being configured to include a first actuation phase and a second actuation phase. The system () further comprises one or more feedback sensors configured to provide one or more actuation feedback values, an actuator valve () coupled to and providing a first pneumatic pressure and a second pneumatic pressure to the pneumatic actuator (), and a controller () coupled to the one or more feedback sensors and the actuator valve (). The controller () is configured to receive the one or more actuation feedback values from the one or more feedback sensors and control the actuator valve () in order to actuate the actuator component () according to an actuation profile and according to the one or more actuation feedback values.
