A sleeping box for installation in an aircraft includes a casing which is suitable for accommodating a person located in a reclining position parallel to a longitudinal axis of the casing and which has an access aperture in the area of a front side which extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the casing. The sleeping box also includes a fastening apparatus which is configured to fasten the sleeping box within a passenger cabin of the aircraft in such a way that the longitudinal axis of the casing extends perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis of the passenger cabin and the access aperture of the casing borders on an aisle which is present within the passenger cabin.

Sleeping box, sleeping box arrangement and aircraft area

A sleeping box for installation in an aircraft comprises a casing which is suitable for accommodating a person located in a reclining position parallel to a longitudinal axis of the casing and which has an access aperture in the area of a front side which extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the casing. The sleeping box also comprises a fastening apparatus which is configured to fasten the sleeping box within a passenger cabin of the aircraft in such a way that the longitudinal axis of the casing extends perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis of the passenger cabin and the access aperture of the casing borders on an aisle which is present within the passenger cabin.

An electrical plug or socket has locking hooks on the ends of flexible locking arms extending from its housing. The other has locking receivers including open slots and catch rims on its housing. When the plug is connected with the socket, the locking arms extend into the slots and the locking hooks engage the catch rims to form a locked connection. The locking hooks protrude laterally outwardly, and yielding protrusions or lever arms protrude laterally inwardly, from the free ends or along the length of the locking arms. The lever arms and/or the free ends of the locking arms can contact and slide along outwardly sloping ramps of sidewalls of the housing, to exert an outward locking force on the locking arms, and to achieve a disconnecting force that separates the plug from the socket when finger pressure is applied laterally inwardly to the free ends of the locking arms.

Lockable electrical plug and socket connection

An electrical plug connector assembly includes a socket connector and a plug connector. The socket connector includes a housing within which a U-shaped contact spring physically contacts a fixed contact part to establish an electrical connection. The U-shaped contact spring is disposed horizontally within the housing, in such a way that an imagined bending axis of the U-shaped contact spring lies parallel to the plug direction. The horizontal arrangement of the U-shaped contact spring within the housing makes it possible for the socket connector to have a relatively flat structure. A preferred application of such a plug connector unit is within a mobile telephone.

Electrical connector

An electrical plug has locking hooks on the ends of flexible arms extending from its housing. An electrical socket has locking receivers on its housing. When the plug is connected with the socket, the locking hooks engage the locking receivers to form a locked connection. A spring-loaded unlocking bail is pivotally arranged on the housing of the socket. Finger pressure applied to the bail against the spring bias pivots the bail so that its bail legs pivot over and press against protrusions of the flexible arms, to inwardly deflect the arms and disengage the locking hooks from the locking receivers, thereby unlocking the arrangement so that the plug can be separated from the socket.

A plug connector has a U-shaped snap-on clip with a web, which incorporates a contact lug. The web is seated in a slot of the casing. A contact is situated at the end of the U-shaped snap-on clip, between its arms. An opening for inserting a contact pin is situated in the top side of the housing. This contact pin spreads the arms of the U-shaped snap-on clip, so that they detach from the contact. This plug connector, which is especially suited for use in a cordless radiotelephone, is distinguished by a small structural size, low production costs, a small number of components, high contact reliability, and an especially low juncture resistance.
