Process and system with a measuring device and an analysis device for processing data

A ventilator () ventilates a patient () by a high-flow oxygen therapy via a tube system (). The ventilator has at least one sensor element (), at least one actuatable inhalation valve or exhalation valve () and a control unit (). The sensor element is arranged and configured to determine and to output a measured variable () within the tube system. The measured variable indicates a gas flow within the tube system. The actuatable inhalation valve or exhalation valve is arranged and configured to make possible a flow of a breathing gas from a ventilation circuit () of the ventilator. The control unit regulates a ventilation pressure provided by the ventilator via the at least one sensor element and the at least one inhalation valve or exhalation valve such that a predefined maximum pressure is not exceeded in a predefined area () of the tube system.

Ventilator for high-flow oxygen therapy

A ventilator () with a control unit (). The control unit () controls the inhalation valve () and the exhalation valve () in order to raise an inhalation pressure level from a first pressure level to a predefined second pressure level and to maintain the inhalation pressure level for a first predefined time period and the control unit () controls the inhalation valve () and the exhalation valve () to raise the second pressure level to a predefined third pressure level and to maintain the third pressure level for a second predefined time period. The control unit () takes into consideration predefined values () for controlling the pressure levels and for controlling the time periods.

Ventilator

A process is provided for operating a respirator and/or anesthesia device in the APRV mode with at least one pressure release phase with the step of setting a first point in time for terminating the pressure release phase. The process includes measuring the electrical impedance and/or impedance change of the lungs and setting the first point in time such that the measured impedance and/or impedance change are taken into account. A device is provided for carrying out the process according to the present invention.

Method for automatically controlling a ventilation or breathing system as well as a corresponding ventilation or breathing system

A system and a method for synchronizing operation between a patient monitoring device and a patient treatment device are disclosed. The patient monitoring device and the patient treatment device are operatively connected via a network, for example, a patient area network (PAN) or a local area network (LAN). A controller with a display is configured to accept user input via a graphic user interface (GUI) and display a patient's physiological data and operating parameters of both the patient monitoring device and the patient treatment device. The operation is synchronized by starting to operate the patient monitoring device at a predetermined operating state of the patient treatment device, and delaying changes in the operating state of the patient treatment device, until the operation of the monitoring device is concluded or the operating state of the patient treatment device indicates an abort condition.
