A device for producing three-dimensional components of a powdery powder material by layered application of the powder material and partial solidification of the powder material of a layer by selectively irradiating points of the layer corresponding to a cross section of the component to be produced by means of at least one energy beam. The device includes a construction container for accommodating the powder material, a coating device for the layered application of the powder material, an overflow container for accommodating an unused material residue of a production process, and an intermediate container for accommodating the unused material residue of an application process and furthermore for delivery to the overflow container.

A light source providing multi-longitudinal resonant waves, particularly by utilizing an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) to produce a broadband emission spectrum. By configuring the system to pump the OPO far above the oscillation threshold, tunable light of macroscopic power with a short coherence length is provided. The coherence may be further shortened by additional longitudinal mode scrambling.

Light source with multi-longitudinal mode continuous wave output based on multi-mode resonant OPO technology

A method of producing a broadband and/or multi-mode emission light source utilizing an Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO) includes providing a pump source configured to produce a continuous wave pump beam, providing an OPO with an optical cavity containing a nonlinear crystal configured to receive the continuous wave pump beam and produce a first output light beam and a second output light beam. The OPO has an OPO-oscillation threshold level and produces longitudinal mode-scrambling on a resonant OPO-wave. The first output light resonates in the optical cavity in a multi-longitudinal resonant mode and produces a pump beam having a power at least three times the OPO-oscillation threshold.

Method for multi-longitudinal mode continuous wave output based on multi-mode resonant OPO technology

A system includes an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) device. The OPO device has an optical resonator, a first nonlinear optical element (NLO) and a second non-linear optical element (NLO). The first NLO can produce, via OPO of a first pump beam, a first output with a first frequency and a second output with a second frequency. The second frequency is lower than the first frequency. The second NLO can produce, via OPO of a second pump beam (with a higher frequency than the first), a third output with a third frequency and a fourth output with a fourth frequency. The fourth frequency is lower than the third frequency. The first frequency is the same, or at least substantially the same, as the fourth frequency. The OPO device is configured to resonate at the first frequency and the fourth frequency.

Dual frequency pumped optical parametric oscillator

A light source is disclosed, having a quasi-incoherent broadband pump source configured to produce a longitudinally and transversally multi-mode pump beam. The light source may include a means for narrowing the linewidth of the pump beam. The light source includes an optical parametric oscillator with an optical cavity containing a crystal. The optical parametric oscillator is configured to receive light from the pump source and produce a first output light beam and a second output light beam. An optical coupler is disposed between the pump source and the optical parametric oscillator. At least one of the first and second output light beams is a substantially single transversal mode light having a narrower linewidth than the pump source.

A three-dimensional object is manufactured from a powder of polymer material by selective sintering process by means of electromagnetic radiation of the powder, wherein the powder comprises a preselected polymer or copolymer and is subjected to selective sintering such that the manufactured three-dimensional object has a final crystallinity which is in such a range that the balance of properties, in particular mechanical properties including Young's modulus, tensile strength and elongation at break, is improved.
