Rail fastening system for fastening at least one rail () to a rail substrate, preferably a solid travel path, which comprises: a rail support plate () arranged for holding the rail (), wherein the rail () in the mounted state is in contact with the rail support plate and is fastened thereto by a rail mount (); a base plate () arranged for fastening the rail support plate () on the rail substrate, wherein the rail support plate () in the mounted state is fastened on the base plate () by way of one or more, preferably two, retaining elements () and the base plate () is in contact with the rail substrate; wherein the base plate () is of multi-part, preferably two-part, construction so that this is adjustable to different dimensions of the rail support plate ().

A holddown assembly fastens a railway rail to a transversely extending hollow sleeper formed with a vertically throughgoing hole. An upwardly projecting lateral brace element is provided on the sleeper offset from the hole, and the assembly has a body fitted between the rail and the brace element and transversely bracing the rail against the brace element. An anchor of the assembly is engaged through the hole, projects upward from the sleeper, is transversely shiftable in the hole, and bears upward on the sleeper. A spring clip is pressed by the anchor down against the rail and presses the rail down against the metal sleeper.

Holddown assembly for railway rail

The invention relates to a plastic screw plug () for attaching a rail to a sleeper, in particular concrete sleeper, having an essentially cylindrical plug body which has at the head end a stem region () which preferably adjoins a plug crown () toward the bottom, and in the continuation of which stem region () has an outer thread () with which it can be turned out of or into the sleeper, and is provided with an inner thread () underneath the stem region () in order to receive a sleeper screw. The intention is to improve such a plastic screw plug, in particular, with regard to its operating properties such as uniform application of force into the sleeper, simpler mounting and replaceability, reduction of the risk of fracturing, and additionally to permit it to be used in a variable way. For this purpose, the stem region () has on the inside, in the junction with the inner thread (), a shoulder () which reduces the internal diameter over part of the length of the stem region () and extends in a spiral shape over at least part of the circumference.

Plastic screw anchor for securing a rail to a railroad tie

A point rail is shiftable transversely on an upper face of a rail base plate between an engaged position bearing on a longitudinally extending and fixed stock rail and a disengaged position spaced transversely of the stock rail. A roller assembly has a mounting plate securable to the rail base plate, a roller support pivotal about a support axis on the rail base plate, a roller carried on the roller support, and a spring biasing the roller upward with a predetermined spring force into a lift position with the roller projecting upward past the upper face for supporting the point rail on the roller. Thus this assembly supports the point rail and, in the engaged position, presses it against the support cleats and the stock rail and it is an integral part of one of the rail base plates.

A rail mount secures a longitudinally extending rail having a foot to a sleeper of a track system. The mount has a rail base plate on the sleeper underneath the rail foot and unitarily formed with a pair of upwardly projecting holders transversely flanking the rail and each formed with at least one vertically throughgoing bore. Respective anchor bolts engaged vertically downward through the bores have heads bearing downward at least indirectly on the respective holders and are seated in the sleeper to hold the base plate down on the sleeper. Respective elastically deformable clips fitted to the holders below the respective anchor-bolt heads bear upwardly on the holders and downwardly on the rail foot to press the rail downwardly toward the sleeper.

Spring-type rail mount for track system

The invention relates to a device for shifting switch rails () associated adjustably with stock rails () or mobile frog tongues in railroad switches, configured as a latch or vertical clasp closure, comprising locking catches () which are activated by means of a cam or slide rod (), and closure pieces () and tongue attachments (), wherein each locking catch () is pivotably supported in a tongue attachment () and the switch rail () is connected detachably to the tongue attachment (). An improved and simpler adjustment option is to be created for such a device. For this, the cam or slide rod () is vertically height-adjustable via a multi-edge body () mounted detachably in both closure pieces ().

Adjustment device in railroad switches

In the case of a hollow sleeper () for adjusting devices of switch blades of railway points, movable common crossings or cable crossings in any desired sections of track and points, formed as an upwardly open hollow sleeper profile with a planar sleeper underside (), for fitting in a track skeleton, wherein the cross-sectional width and height are made to match a normal concrete, wooden or steel sleeper, the positional stability on ballast can be improved if the sleeper underside () of the hollow sleeper () is formed with at least one sunken, downwardly open chamber ().

The invention relates to a rail fastener for track systems, comprising a tensioning element () made of an elastic material, in particular hardened spring steel that in the assembled state is fixed in place between a retaining plate () provided on a sleeper () and a fastening anchor () such that the tensioning element exerts a retention force on the foot () of a rail () in order to hold the rail () in position, the tensioning element () being symmetrically aligned with respect to a vertically oriented plane of symmetry () that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis () of the rail (). According to the invention, the tensioning element () has two torsion legs (' and&#x2033;), preferably extending essentially in parallel, in order to achieve stepped overload protection. The two torsion legs (&#x2032; and&#x2033;) are connected to one another on the side facing away from the rail () by means of a connecting section (), and a loop-shaped clamping section (&#x2032; and&#x2033;) is provided on each end (&#x2032; and&#x2033;) of the torsion leg (&#x2032; and&#x2033;) facing the rail (). In the non-tensioned state of the tensioning element () the torsion legs (&#x2032; and&#x2033;) together with the connecting section () lie essentially in a first plane (), and at least a portion of the loop-shaped clamping sections (&#x2032; and&#x2033;) lie in a second plane (). The second plane () is rotated about an axis () in relation to the first plane (), the axis extending parallel to the sectional axis of the plane of symmetry () containing the first plane ().

Non-positive fit elastic rail connection for track systems

A railroad switch actuator has a transversely extending box sleeper having a pair of ends, adapted to be secured to a pair of longitudinally extending fixed rolling rails, and adapted to slidably support a pair of longitudinally extending and transversely shiftable switch tongues. A switch rod extends transversely in the box sleeper, is connected to the tongues, is centered on a transverse axis, and is displaceable along the transverse axis to shift the tongues. A drive having an output shaft is supported on one end of the sleeper by a hinge for pivotal movement between a down position outboard of the one sleeper end and with the output shaft axially aligned with the switch rod and an up position between the sleeper ends.

Sleeper-mounted railroad-switch actuator

An arrangement of an oil-free compressor apparatus on a rail vehicle for supplying compressed air to pneumatic units assigned to the rail vehicle. The arrangement includes an oil-free compressor and a cooler unit connected with the compressor. The arrangement also includes a rail vehicle having a floor with at least one opening. The compressor is fastened on at least one side to the vehicle floor such that a main axis of rotation of the compressor is arranged essentially vertical with respect to the vehicle floor. The cooler unit interacts with the at least one opening that is configured to take in cooling air to cool the compressor.

Structure of an oil-free compressor on a vehicle

The invention relates to a piston arrangement for a dual-stage piston compressor, comprising a cranksbaft and several cylinders which house the operating piston. Said arrangement allows two or more low-pressure stages and at least one high-pressure stage to be formed. The invention is characterized in that the two or more low-pressure cylinders are arranged in relation to the high-pressure stage in such a way that said two or more low-pressure cylinders are in phase or are offset by less than &plusmn;15&deg; and compress in a position which is offset by 180&deg;&plusmn;20, in relation to one or more high-pressure cylinders.

Dual-stage, plunger-type piston compressor with minimal vibration

A device for the vibration-absorbing mounting of a compressed-air generator including a first spring element which is mounted on a mounting support. A second spring element is provided on which the compressed-air generator is arranged. One of the two spring elements has a spring rigidity in essentially the vertical direction that is maximally half its spring rigidity in essentially the horizontal direction. The second spring element is arranged in series with the first-spring element. The inventive device reduces the acceleration measured at the bottom of the understructure to values which are at least 30% of the values known from the prior art.
