There is disclosed an autonomous docking system for aerial delivery of a payload from a ground station. The system may comprise an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) having one or more motors for powered flight and a pyramidal bottom surface opening downward to terminate in a base perimeter. A cargo pod may be included to carry the payload and may have a pyramidal top surface complementary to the pyramidal bottom surface of the UAV. The system may further include a latching system for locking the UAV to the cargo pod and one or more steering components for approaching the cargo to within a steering accuracy. The UAV may be configured to dock by steering downward until the base perimeter slidably contacts the pyramidal top surface of the cargo pod for gravity-aligning the UAV in azimuth and laterally. The system may be further defined by a capture radius of the base perimeter being greater than a lateral component of the steering accuracy.

There is disclosed a system for enhanced aerial delivery capability. In an embodiment, there is provided a system for enhanced aerial delivery capability. The system includes a UAV having a primary battery to provide power to one or more electrical motors for powered flight. The system includes a pod having a cargo portion to selectively carry a payload, the pod having a supplemental battery to selectively supply power to the UAV. The system includes an autonomous mounting system configured to provide selective and autonomous mechanical connection of the pod with the UAV. The mounting system is configured to provide selective and autonomous electrical connection of the supplemental battery of the pod to the UAV. This configuration selectively powers the one or more electrical motors of the UAV with the stored electrical power from the supplemental battery. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

A multiple seat set for use in a transport vehicle such as an aircraft is disclosed. The seat set increases seating room and comfort for passengers without increasing the footprint of the seat set. The seat set includes a staggered seating arrangement where seating surfaces of adjacent seats are disposed in alternating heights (e.g., vertical heights) while the seating surfaces and seat backs of such adjacent seats are disposed in alternating forward and back positions. The staggering of the seat surfaces and seat backs results in misalignment of shoulders and hips of passengers in adjacent seats.

An aircraft seat set is provided that allows for providing extra room for passengers and/or allow for selectively increasing the width of an aircraft aisle during enplaning and deplaning and/or increasing the width of some seats during flight. In one embodiment, the aisle seat of the seat set is movably connected to the seat frame of the seat set to allow the aisle seat to be disposed above and in front of the middle seat of the seat set for enplaning and deplaning.

A mission control grip mounted to a consol to provide a crew interface with a multitude of systems through a multitude of Multi-Functional Displays (MFDs). The mission control grip includes a fist-shaped grip movable about a first axis and a second axis, a thumb-operated control switch and a switch for each finger. Even while steering one system the crewmember may still move a cursor to interact with that system modes/menu controls such as changing focus or magnitude on the MFD selected for the sensor system&#x2014;or perform other tasks on another MFD not related to the MFD upon which the current system field of view is displayed.
