Method and apparatus for three-phase fluid flow measurement that operates reliably and accurately over a wide range of gas cut. The system uses a fluid conditioner to separate the three-phase fluid flow into a liquid rich component and a gas rich component. The gas flow rate of the gas rich component is controlled by a valve to maintain the gas cut at a predetermined level. The valve is responsive to control signals generated by a measurement apparatus that measures oil, gas, and water cuts. The system configuration includes a pipeline for carrying the liquid rich component, a gas line for carrying the gas rich component, and a measurement line in parallel with the pipeline.

Three-phase fluid flow measurement system and method

The present invention concerns a new optical photometry system for on-line analysis of industrial fluid streams. The invention is a general purpose optical photometer, capable of absorption, fluorescence and reflectance measurements at single wavelengths in the ultraviolet, visible and near infrared spectral ranges. Light signals generated by the light source are carried between a central photometric console and remote analysis sites by fiber optic cables. The return light signals are compared with a standard to make the desired analysis.

Optical photometry system for on-line analysis of fluid systems

A fiber optic probe mounting assembly has an inner assembly which receives an optical fiber cable and holds it in a sealed alignment. The inner assembly is sealingly received in an outer assembly which is provided with means for attachment to a pressure vessel.
