An actuator () comprises an electric motor () for moving an actuated part () to an actuated position. The actuator () further comprises a controller () connected to the electric motor () and configured to determine a motor current of the electric motor () and to detect motor rotations. The controller () is further configured to determine the actuated position by counting the motor rotations detected while the motor current is at or above a current threshold indicative of a load torque, and by not counting motor rotations detected while the motor current is below said current threshold.

Method of monitoring an air flow in a zone of an HVAC system

A device for measuring a volume flow in a ventilation pipe () comprises a sensor element () disposed on the mounting () and configured as a thermal anemometer. Upstream of the sensor element is a turbulence-generating element, which is configured and disposed at a distance from the sensor surface () such that highly turbulent flow is generated in the region of the sensor surface in a targeted manner. Downstream of the sensor surface is a flow element (), which widens in the cross-section thereof in the flow direction (L), wherein starting from a height level of the sensor surface a height is reached that is greater than the height of the break-away edge () opposite the sensor surface.

Device for measuring and regulating a volume flow in a ventilation pipe

Disclosed is an HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) system which comprises a fluid flow duct (), a fluid flow valve () which is arranged therein and has a valve body () in the fluid flow duct () and a valve motor () which moves the valve body (), a control circuit for activating the valve motor, a sensor () in the fluid flow duct () and an evaluation module for evaluating signals of the sensor. To produce an automated functional control, the following procedure is adopted: a first actuation signal is preset for the valve motor by the control circuit, and the actuation signal corresponds to a first setpoint position of the valve body (), registration of a first signal of the sensor () by the evaluation module, and determination of a functional diagnosis of the fluid flow valve on the basis of the first signal of the sensor.

Automated functional diagnosis

An anti-twist device retains an actuating motor (), which is placed in a force-fitting and/or form-fitting manner onto the projecting driveshaft () of a pivotable shut-off flap () of a gas transport tube (), in particular of an HVAC tube or flue gas tube for a building, in a longitudinally moveable manner. Arranged at an adjustable axial distance (a) from the driveshaft () is at least one clamp () which secures the actuating motor (). The invention relates to a device () for controlling airflow (A) in a ventilation pipe () comprising one or several air throttle () which are synchronously actuated and prevent air flowing (A) in the air pipe in the closed position thereof. The ventilation pipe () is provided with a longitudinally extending fixing bar () which is arranged on a symmetry plane and provided with the pivot bearing () of an axis () for driving the air throttle(s) () and means () for transmitting a force and/or torque to the drive axis () connected to the air throttle(s) (). Said fixing bar () provided with different air throttles () is usable for the ventilation pipes having different cross sections and forms, an angle (&#x3b2;), preferably, ranging from 15&#xb0; to 90&#xb0;, with a longitudinal axis (L) or with a wall () of said ventilation pipe ().

Air flow control in a ventilating pipe

In the method a weft thread which is supplied via a thread brake and a thread presenter is inserted into a shed by means of rapiers with a thread clamp, with the thread clamp being set in a freely selectable manner for each weft insertion during the weft insertion. This makes it possible to insert weft yarns of different types and thickness into a shed. The system comprises a rapier (1) with a thread clamp (4) and an arrangement (4) with a first apparatus (11) for setting the thread clamp and with a second apparatus (21) for the actuation of the first apparatus.

An apparatus for controlling a warp tensioner of a weaving machine. The apparatus contains a spring member that is in working connection with the warp tensioner and a control system that has a container communicating via a 2/2 way valve with the spring member in order to vary the spring stiffness of the spring member and the position of the warp tensioner from a terminal at the side where the weaver stands by increasing and decreasing the effective volume of the spring member.

Apparatus for controlling a warp tensioner of a weaving machine

A control curve is calculated for controlling the yarn tension including warp and weft yarn tensions in a weaving loom by comparing a previously determined yarn tension curve with a desired value for the yarn tension curve. The control characteristic is optimized by continuous iteration. A further optimization of the yarn tension curve takes place by taking account of variable parameters in the yarn tension curve, for example yarn breakage analysis, beat-up force of the reed, and/or shed change. The control device for performing the method can be implemented with conventional logic. The method automatically carries out in an advantageous manner for weft and warp yarns a matching to the optimum yarn tension as a function of time on the basis of preselected parameter values.

Method of controlling the yarn tension in a weaving machine

A sensor for detecting the stress profile of a thread that has moved. The sensor contains a signal generator, a thread guiding member and a body of resilient material. The signal generator is resiliently mounted in a vibration damping manner and in the manner of a cantilever in a body. Through this mounting arrangement the influence through mechanical action and also the influence of the thermal expansion caused by heat as a result of the heating up caused by the running thread are largely cancelled and thus measurement errors are avoided.
