A system, method, and device for ensuring a number of Phase Tracking Reference Signal(s) (PT-RSs) are the same for multiple slots. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive control information including a number of scheduled resource blocks (RBs) then determine a PT-RS density based on the number of scheduled RBs. The WTRU may determine a RB offset value for the WTRU based on a WTRU-ID modulo the maximum RB offset value, where the maximum value for the RB offset value may be based on at least one of the number of the scheduled RBs and the PT-RS density. The WTRU may then transmit or receive a signal with PT-RS based on the RB offset value.

Phase tracking reference signal transmission

Methods and apparatuses for multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) channel access are provided herein. A method performed by a station (STA) may include receiving, from an initiating STA, a frame including information indicating a broadcast address and a control trailer. The control trailer may include information indicating that a multi-user multiple input-multiple output (MU-MIMO) frame is to be received from the initiating STA, and information indicative of a plurality of STAs, the plurality of STAs including the STA. The method may include transmitting a response frame to the indicated broadcast address based on the received frame and receiving the MU-MIMO frame from the initiating STA.

MIMO channel access

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for range extension, basic service set (BSS) color labeling, and multi-user (MU) fragmentation and control in WLANs. A range extension notification/enablement scheme, a clear channel assessment (CCA), a headroom indication, and/or power scaling may be provided for a range extension mode. BSS color may be provided for multiple-BSSs under an access point (AP). Uplink (UL) transmission may be provided with different fragmentation capabilities. A high-efficiency (HE) trigger-based UL NDP physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) frame may be provided. A station (STA) may receive a trigger frame comprising a null data packet (NDP) indication and a trigger type. The STA may determine that the STA is an intended recipient of the trigger frame. The STA may prepare an NDP PPDU for a control frame and/or a management frame based on the trigger type.

Control and operation in Wireless Local Area Network

Mechanisms may be used for aggregating acknowledgement (ACK), block ACK (BA) and/or short packets transmissions for multi-user (MU) wireless communication systems. Aggregation mechanisms may be used for uplink (UL) and/or downlink (DL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA), and/or UL/DL multiple-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) transmissions, for example. Multi-user short packets may be aggregated and/or simultaneously transmitted for DL, UL, or peer-to-peer (P2P) transmissions.

A method of multi-access point (multi-AP) communication performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprises: receiving a first trigger frame from a first access point (AP) of a plurality of APs, the first trigger frame comprising first information; receiving a second trigger frame from a second AP of the plurality of APs at a predetermined time duration after receiving the first trigger frame, the second trigger frame also comprising the first information of the first trigger frame; generating a synchronization frame based on the first trigger frame and the second trigger frame, the synchronization frame comprising synchronization information; transmitting the synchronization frame to at least the first AP and the second AP; and receiving a data transmission based on the synchronization information from each of the first AP and the second AP.

Methods and apparatus for joint multi-AP transmission in WLANS

A method for multiple access point (AP) transmission is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a repetition beacon from each of a plurality of APs, each received repetition beacon comprising a common information part and an AP-specific information part; decoding at least a subset of the received common information parts to obtain a first parameter; decoding the received AP-specific information parts to obtain a second parameter for each of the plurality of APs; performing a calculation based on the first parameter, the obtained second parameters and a number of the plurality of APs to obtain a calculation result; and transmitting a feedback based on the calculation result to the plurality of AP.

Systems and methods for multi-AP transmission with uniform coverage

Methods, systems, and devices for addressing timing advance (TA) in non-terrestrial network communication is disclosed herein. A wireless transmit and receive unit (WTRU) may receive system information from a base station attached to an airborne or spaceborne vehicle that indicates a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource. The WTRU may determine a timing offset based on a plurality of information, such as the location information and the system information. The WTRU may transmit a preamble using the timing offset via the PRACH resource. The base station may receive the preamble and send a random access response (RAR) that includes, for example, a TA command. The WTRU may receive the RAR including the TA command and combine the timing offset with the TA command to determine an actual TA, after which the WTRU may use the actual TA for uplink transmissions.

Timing advance for non-terrestrial network communication

Device, systems, and/or techniques for using sub-channel signaling information between an access point and a first station are disclosed. In one aspect, a method performed by a station (STA) includes: receiving, from a neighboring STA in an overlapping basic service set (OBSS), a physical (PHY) layer preamble that includes a signal field indicating a plurality of sub-bands and associated power thresholds for Uplink Orthogonal Frequency-Divisional Multiple Access (UL OFDMA) transmission, that are available for OBSS spatial reuse (SR) by the STA; and sending, to an AP with which the STA is associated, an UL OFDMA transmission using a sub-band of the plurality of sub-bands and an associated power threshold indicated in the signal field. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

Methods and devices for sub-channelized transmission schemes in WLANs

Systems, methods and instrumentalities are disclosed for decoding data. For example, it may be determined, in a current slot, whether data received in a previous slot is decoded successfully. The data received in the previous slot may be included in a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH). If the data received in the previous slot is not decoded successfully, preemptive multiplexing information may be detected in a first search space. The data received in the previous slot may be decoded, for example, using detected preemptive multiplexing information. The preemptive multiplexing information may be of a current slot. The preemptive multiplexing information may be comprised in a first DCI. A second search space of the current slot may be searched. For example, the second search space may be searched for a second DCI. The first DCI and the second DCI may be different.

Shared data channel design

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for multiple AP coordination in wireless local area networks (WLANs). For example, a station (STA) may receive, from a first access points (APs), a probe response frame that includes one or more indicators indicating multiple AP operation capabilities of the first AP and a second AP. The STA may transmit, to at least one of the first AP or the second AP, a multiple AP association request frame that enables the first AP to be associated with the second AP for a multiple AP operation. The STA may receive, from the first AP, a first multiple AP association response frame indicating acceptance or rejection of the multiple AP operation with the first AP. The STA may receive, from the second AP, a second multiple AP association response frame indicating acceptance or rejection of the multiple AP operation with the second AP.

Systems, methods and apparatuses for multiple access point (multi-AP) coordination in wireless local area networks (WLANs)

A WTRU may include a memory and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive beam grouping information from a gNB or transmission and reception point (TRP). The beam grouping information may indicate a group of beams that the WTRU may report using group-based reporting. The group-based reporting may be a reduced level of reporting compared to a beam-based reporting. The group-based report may include measurement information for a representative beam. The representative beam may be one of the beams in the group or represents an average of the beams in the group. Alternatively, the representative beam may be a beam that has a maximum measurement value compared to other beams in the group. The group-based report may include a reference signal received power (RSRP) for the representative beam and a differential RSRP for each additional beamin the beam group.

Group-based beam management

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) or access point (AP) may transmit a protocol data unit (PDU) of a first 802.11 protocol and a preamble and data of a second 802.11 protocol. The preamble and data of the second 802.11 protocol may be transmitted on resources of the PDU of the first 802.11 protocol with shaping sequences for concurrent transmission.

Coexistence of OFDM and on-off keying (OOK) signals in WLAN

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for transmitting a message. For example, a first radio access technology, RAT, and/or a second RAT may be determined. The first RAT may be determined for reception of data. The second RAT may be determined for the reception of the data, perhaps for example based on an indication received via the first RAT. The data may be received via a first node associated with the first RAT and a second node associated with the second RAT.

Handling interference in multi-radio access technology (RAT) wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU)

Methods and apparatuses for enhancing random access procedures are described herein. A method performed by an access point (AP) may comprise allocating a plurality of random access (RA) resource units (RA-RUs) for transmitting a message from a station (STA) to the AP over an upper or lower frequency band. The method may comprise transmitting, to a station (STA), one or more physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) over the upper or lower frequency bands. Each of the one or more PPDUs may include a trigger frame, and the trigger frame may include an indication of the plurality of RA-RUs and a target received signal strength indicator (TRSSI) associated with at least one of the upper or lower frequency bands. The method may comprise receiving, in response to the trigger frame, the message from the STA in one of the plurality of RA-RUs.
