The present invention is concerned with a massage device having a drive unit for generating a translational back-and-forth movement of the applicator along a first axis having an amplitude of 0.2 mm to 1.5 mm. The amplitude can be varied between two different operation modes of the device.

Massage device

In order to provide a damping element () in compact form for transportation as an individual part of a dismantled stand () and to be able to push a support () into a tube () to fix it there, it is proposed that the support () is relatively, in particular vertically and telescopically, displaceable with respect to tube (), in that damping element () is connected at a first end () on support () to a component () for holding the appliance, in that damping element () is held by tube (), in that a second, opposite end () of damping element () protrudes out of tube () when damping element () is relaxed, in that the second end () of damping element () can be shifted onto tube () or into it when damping element () is compressed, and in that second end () can be fastened in this compressed state by a fixing element () to fix support () in its position shifted towards tube ().

Stand with a damping element

Stand () with a foot () and a stand tube () which is arranged perpendicularly thereto and at the upper end () has a manually operable securing device () for securing, by means of a connecting pin (), an appliance () which is connected to the stand tube () against being unintentionally released. The securing device () is designed as an essentially U-shaped wire clip () which is bent in one piece and has two resilient limbs (), a subregion () of the limbs () engaging resiliently in each case in a corresponding groove () of the connecting pin (). A curved region () of the wire clip () is arranged outside the stand tube (). The advantage of the wire clip () resides in the cost-effective production, the installation of the particular hairdressing appliance () without a tool, and the secure locking (protection against unintentional raising/pulling out) of the hairdressing appliance () by the wire clip (), and the removal of the hairdressing appliance (), again without a tool (FIG.).

Stand with a securing device

In this method, the surface to be investigated is first of all exposed to collimated light and the radiation rejected therefrom supplied to a position-resolving image processing means. Then, a mask is generated on the basis of the image supplied by the image processing means, said mask having masked regions being defined by relatively bright areas of said image and unmasked regions being defined by relatively dark areas of said image. Now, the surface to be investigated is exposed to diffuse light and the radiation rejected therefrom supplied to the image processing means, with only the radiation from the unmasked regions being taken into consideration for analyzing purposes.
