A method for operating a surgical microscope having a camera is described. The method includes the following steps: a code that is able to be captured in a set frequency range is introduced into the field of view of the camera, at least one image which includes the code is captured via the camera, an evaluation device is used to identify the code and compare the latter to set features of a code required to activate at least one function, and if the identified code has the set features, the activation of the function is authorized.

Reading codes via a surgical microscope camera

A laser-surgical apparatus includes a laser emitting laser light with a narrowband wavelength distribution, a digital image sensor or a plurality of digital image sensors that separately record(s) different color channels that represent mutually different spectral wavelength distributions with in each case one maximum corresponding to a specific spectral color and produce(s) separate pieces of image information for the individual color channels, and a graphics module for combining the separate pieces of image information into one color image. In addition, it includes a manipulation module for suppressing the laser light in the color image, which makes it possible to electronically manipulate the pieces of image information of the color channel the spectral wavelength distribution of which has the largest overlap with the narrowband wavelength distribution of the laser light before the separate pieces of image information are combined or during the combining of the separate pieces of image information.

The present invention relates to an eye surgery method and an eye surgery system. An eye surgery method comprises directing illumination light direction onto a target object of an eye; generating an observation image from observation light emerging from the target object due to scattering of the illumination light at the target object; highlighting, in the observation image, a region of interest characterized by a specific wavelength range by modifying the observation light or by modifying digital raw image data representing a spatial intensity distribution of the observation light; and identifying the target object in the observation image including the highlighted region of interest and manipulating at least one part of the identified target object.
