Security and/or value document, with security features and with a verification element for verifying the security feature is disclosed. Integrated into the security and/or value document at different positions is at least one verification element and at least one security feature to be verified by the verification element. When the verification element and the security feature are only superimposed, verification takes place.

Zinc sulfide electroluminophores are prepared from solutions of zinc salts with hydrogen sulfide. The zinc sulfide compounds are mixed with activator and coactivator compounds to produce luminophores, and the mixtures are fired in the presence of fixing agents. These fired materials are then treated in an acid bath, washed, neutralized, and optionally filtered and dried.

An apparatus configured to discriminate the genuineness of a certified paper by exposing the paper to a light source and transporting the paper through an environment of an alternating-current electromagnetic field. Light detectors detect the light reflected from the paper and the light emitted by a fluorescent ink on the paper and output a waveform corresponding to the intensity of the detected light, reflected light, and the detected emitted light as the paper is scanned. The resulting waveforms are used to discriminate the genuineness of the paper. The fluorescent light and reflected light can be optically split and directed to separate detecting devices. Furthermore, the alternating-current electromagnetic field can be controlled by a voltage controller and configured to be driven only when the sensor detects light from the fluorescent ink.

Certified paper discriminating apparatus

An apparatus for discriminating the genuineness of a security mark is provided having a first light detecting element for detecting a light emitted from a luminescent ink of the security mark placed in a specified environment and a second light detecting element for detecting a reflected light from a non-luminescent ink of the security mark. The first and second light detecting elements detect the light from the same location of a bank note. A third light detecting element detects the light intensity of a light emitted from a monitor mark that can be compared with a preset reference light intensity to calculate a deviation from the reference light intensity. The output of the first light detecting element can be converted into a corrected output value corresponding to the calculated deviation. The genuineness of the bank note can be discriminated based on the corrected output value.

A security feature is provided for value and security documents in the form of piezo security particles. Electrical and mechanical properties of the piezo-security particles are utilized to detect and evaluate the security feature of the value and security document.

Electric effect-based security feature on security documents and on documents of value-proof process belonging thereto

The invention relates to a device for validating authenticity features on documents of value and security documents, especially bank notes, personal documents, plastic cards and similar. The device consists of an automatic testing apparatus into which the bank notes for testing are fed and hereby run through a detector device. The detector device is suitable for detecting and evaluating the electroluminescent properties of the authenticity features.

A value or security product such as a banknote, ID card or the like, is provided with luminescent security elements which are excitable in an electromagnetic alternating field. A production method of applying the required colors and substances to the value or security product is also provided. Also included is a respective security technology arrangement for visual and machine-operated detection of authenticity, where electrical fields in particular and optical radiation, preferably in the UV wavelength range, are used to excite so-called phosphorous colors, and additional optical effects in the visible UV wavelength range can be achieved by secondary excitation mechanisms.

Value or security product with luminescent security elements and method for the production and use thereof in respect to visual and machine-operated detection of authenticity

A security document with optically excitable dyes for authenticity checking. Dyes are applied to or embedded in the security documents. The dyes are advantageously embedded in a carrier material which in conjunction with the dyes forms a laser-active element. Certain optically excitable dyes are incorporated in a security document in such a way that when the security and/or sensitive document is optically excited, the dyes embedded in the security and/or sensitive document resonate with the material of the securities and secure documents, so that a well-defined narrow spectrum of all excited materials is emitted.
