This invention relates to an undersea riser bearing designed to operate at higher temperatures over an extended time frame while maintaining performance advantages of high capacity laminate (HCL) elastomeric composite bearings.

Elevated temperature riser bearing

The present invention broadly comprises an aircraft motion control auxiliary power unit suspension system device, the aircraft motion control auxiliary power unit suspension system device comprising a first motion control nonelastomeric member and a second motion control nonelastomeric member, a first motion control elastomer member disposed to operatively interconnect the first motion control nonelastomeric member and the second motion control nonelastomeric member. The first motion control elastomer member includes an exterior surface coating formed from an elastomeric polymer dissolved in an organic solvent and the elastomeric polymer dissolved in the solvent is applied to an exterior surface of the first motion control elastomer member, the solvent evaporates, and the elastomeric polymer crosslinks.

Suspension system for aircraft auxiliary power unit with elastomeric member

The coating for substrates or materials, preferably elastomers or elastomers bonded to metal. The coating composition comprises (a) a functionalized hydrogenated copolymer comprising at least one repeat unit derived from a conjugated diene monomer; preferably including an unsaturated nitrile monomer; and a functional group containing monomer or graft linked compound or combinations thereof; (b) a curing component comprising at least one isocyanate group, or a carbodiimide compound, or an amino resin, or combinations thereof, and (c) a solvent. The coating compounds can be applied to an substrate either before or after the substrate has been vulcanized. The coatings can be cured at ambient temperatures.

Room temperature curable functionalized HNBR coating

Elastomer coating composition are disclosed which cure at room temperature, and form highly flex-resistant, durable, and flexible protective layer on elastomers and provides excellent adhesion to elastomeric and metal substrates. The coating is a solvent solution of (A) a carboxylated hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer, and (B) a room temperature isocyanate curing component. Coated bonded elastomer-metal composites are obtained without an additional application of heat to cure the coating.

Room temperature curable X-HNBR coating

The coating composition of the invention cures at room temperature, and forms a coating which is resistant to flex-fatigue. environmental temperature variability and provides for excellent adhesion to flexible elastomeric substrates. The coating in two parts comprises (A) a graft-modified fluoroelastomer and (B) a curing component containing at least one group reactive with an active hydrogen bearing group, such as an isocyanate group and another group which forms crosslinks, and (C) a solvent. The coating is prepared by mixing and milling the fluoroelasomer which has been graft-functionalized with an active hydrogen bearing group groups. The first part is admixed with the second part prior to applying the coating. Gelation of the coating takes place at room temperature over several hours with complete cure taking place within about 24 hours.

Room temperature curable fluoropolymer coating

Emissive coatings for flexible substrates, preferably elastomers or elastomers bonded to metal are disclosed The coating composition is formed by combining parts (a) and (b) where part (a) comprises an organic solution or aqueous dispersion of a functional group containing polymer or copolymer and thermal conductive filler; and part (b) comprises a liquid curing component, for example a poly isocyanate, a carbodiimide, or an amino resin. The coating compounds can be applied to an substrate either before or after the substrate has been vulcanized. The coatings can be cured at ambient temperatures and provide heat dissipation over long term service at elevated temperatures.
