A cable management system includes multiple cables, each having a unique identifier associated therewith and each including first and second barcodes including the unique identifier, the first barcode located proximate a first end of the cable, the second barcode located proximate a second end of the cable. The system also includes a barcode scanner to scan barcodes of the cables, the barcode scanner includes a clip to receive one of the cables. The system also includes a mobile computing device having a processor, data storage medium, communication unit, and user interface including a display. The mobile computing device is configured to receive via the user interface first end location information for a first cable, receive from the barcode scanner the first barcode of the first cable, and save and display the first end location information in association with the unique identifier of the first cable included in the first barcode.

Cable management system and method

A cable management system includes a cable bundling system for tracking a plurality of cables included in a cable bundle. The cable bundling system includes a pair of cable bundlers, including a first cable bundler for installing a first end of a cable, and a second cable bundler for installing a second end of the cable.

An expanded beam connector has a MOST ferrule; a fiber to be retained within the MOST ferrule; and, a collimating lens abutting the fiber for expanding the optical beam of the fiber wherein the lens and fiber are in alignment to a common optic axis. In one embodiment, the collimating lens can have a conical cutout configured to aid in aligning the fiber to the common optic axis. In another embodiment, the collimating lens can have a semi-cylindrical tab protruding from the rear with a V-groove configured to interact with a flexible feature on the interior of the ferrule to align the fiber to the common optic axis.

Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a cooling duct assembly for electronic equipment installed in a cabinet. The cooling duct assembly comprises at least one main duct in fluid communication with a front portion of the cabinet. The at least one main duct receives cold air from the front portion of the cabinet and routes the cold air toward a back portion of the cabinet. Additionally, the cooling duct assembly comprises at least one side duct in fluid communication with the at least one main duct. The at least one side duct receives the cold air from the at least one main duct and routes the cold air to at least one side air intake opening on the electronic equipment.

Passive cooling systems for network cabinet

Certain embodiments of the present invention provide an apparatus for closing off an opening above, below, or between electronic equipment in a rack. The rack includes a pair of equipment rails. The electronic equipment is mounted to the equipment rails. The apparatus includes a base, a roller shade, and a handle. The roller shade is rotatably connected to the base and includes a free end extending from the base when the roller shade is rotated. The handle is connected to the free end of the roller shade. The base is removably connected to the equipment rails at a first position. The handle is removably connected to the equipment rails at a second position spaced apart from the first position such that the free end of the roller shade is extended to close off the opening in the rack.
