The invention relates to a converter from ECL to CMOS having an input stage (Q, Q, N, N), a level shifter stage (N, N, N, R, R, R) including an NFET differential stage (N, N), and an output stage (P, P, P, P, N, N, N, N), and to a network element for transmitting signals which comprises a converter from ECL to CMOS having an input stage (Q, Q, N, N), a level shifter stage (N, N, N, R, R, R), and an output stage (P, P, P, P, N, N, N, N), with the level shifter stage (N, N, N, R, R, R) including an NFET differential stage (N, N).

Converter from ECL to CMOS and network element for transmitting signals

A circuit arrangement for an LVDS driver, which uses combined bipolar and MOSFET technology with at least two MOSFETs, is shown, wherein a multiplier circuit is connected to an output stage of the LVDS driver and the multiplier circuit is controlled by means of an automatic control circuit, which generates control signals for controlling a current source of the multiplier circuit and for controlling the amplification factor of differential input signals of the multiplier circuit. Advantages of the invention are that it enables said technology, in which semi-conductor components are used in bipolar techniques (e.g. NPN and/or PNP transistors) (as well as MOS technology), to take advantage of the high speed of the bipolar elements compared with MOS elements.

LVDS driver in bipolar and MOS technology

This invention relates to circuitry for detecting peak levels of signals and particularly fast hold and sample peak detectors for analyzing signals of generally arbitrary wave shape and form having a high precision, high slew-rate, very short retention, and a low distortion. The circuitry comprising a comparator circuit comprising two signal inputs and a signal output, where the output signal depends from the difference between the input signals, a sample and hold circuit comprising switching means controlled by said signal output for sampling and holding means for holding the output signal, a compensation circuit for compensating residual currents comprising emulating means for emulating residual currents caused by said comparator circuit influencing the functionality of said sample and hold circuit, and an unload circuit comprising a clearing means for decreasing the output signal of said sample and hold circuit.
