A device is provided for protecting at least one metallic surface against discolorations under the action of heat. The device includes a metallic surface with a lacquer applied a lacquer applied thereto to the metallic surfaces and then stoving the metallic surface while sealing the metallic surface against oxygen contact to form a permanently effective oxygen barrier.

An air-guiding apparatus has a transversely oriented rear spoiler element that can be moved via hydraulic units into different setting positions with respect to the vehicle. An airflow breakaway edge is provided below the spoiler element and is configured to be set additionally to adjust effects of the spoiler element.

Air-guiding apparatus

An adjustable tailgate support contains a fixed inner tube, which is connected to a lower housing part and on which is arranged a spiral spring. The spiral spring on the one hand is supported at the lower end on a setting element held on the inner tube and, on the other hand, is held fixed at a remote, upper, free end in the upper housing part. An increase or reduction in the spring force of the spiral spring can be set by turning the setting element, which has a supporting ring, on an external thread of the fixed inner tube.

Adjustable tailgate support

A motor vehicle has an actuator device for raising a bonnet in an accident to minimize injury to a pedestrian. The actuator device has at least two actuators for raising the bonnet. A control unit activates actuators with a time delay. Alternatively, the actuators differ in power. The time delay between activating the actuators or the differing power of the actuators reduces vibration while raising the bonnet, thereby ensuring proper raising of the bonnet and enhancing protection to the pedestrian.

Motor vehicle

A motor vehicle has a lock with a movable locking element, particularly a rotary latch, which lock, in addition to being equipped with an electric unlocking device for the locking element, is equipped with a mechanical emergency unlocking device for the locking element. The emergency unlocking device includes a first pulling element which triggers the locking element independently of the electric unlocking device into a release position, in which release position a closing element is released which is fastened to a vehicle body part to be opened. So that the emergency unlocking device can be made available without high mounting expenditures, it is provided that the electric unlocking device comprises an electric actuator which acts by way of a second pulling element upon the lock and, in the process, triggers the locking element into the release position, in that the first pulling element of the emergency unlocking device is coupled with the second pulling element by means of a connection device, and in that the connection is situated on the second pulling element between the actuator and the lock.
