In accordance with a first aspect of the present disclosure, a method for configuring a transponder is conceived, comprising: deriving a signature from a physical unclonable function; verifying said signature; initiating a key training sequence between a base station and the transponder in dependence on a result of verifying the signature. In accordance with other aspects of the present disclosure, a corresponding computer program, transponder and base station are provided.

The invention discloses a method of reading data (dat) from a first transponder (TAG) into a transceiver (REA). Said (dat) are only transmitted from the first transponder (TAG) to the transceiver (REA) when a second transponder (TAG) is present within the RFID communication range of the transceiver (REA) and if a positive authentication procedure between the two transponders (TAG, TAG) within the RFID communication range of the transceiver (REA) takes place. The second transponder (TAG) is preferably a stationary transponder (TAG), whereas the first transponder (TAG) may be a mobile transponder. The invention further relates to transponders (TAG, TAG) as well as to a transceiver (REA) used in such a method of reading data (dat). Furthermore, the invention relates to a poster (POS), to which a first transponder (TAG) is attached, and to a poster wall (WAL) for attaching such a poster (POS) and a second transponder (TAG).

Method of securely reading data from a transponder

The invention is related to a device (DEV) for applying operating data (OPDAT) of said device (DEV) and/or data associated (ASDAT) with playback data (PLDAT) played by said device (DEV) to a remote device (RD). The device (DEV) comprises a memory (MEM) and a power supply (POW, BAT) arranged to power said device (DEV) and said memory (MEM). Operating data (OPDAT) and/or said associated data (ASDAT) are stored in said memory (MEM) during operation of said device (DEV). Subsequently said data (OPDAT, ASDAT) can be read by means of said remote device (RD) being in the proximity of device (DEV). According to the invention said memory (MEM) is designed to be powered by means of radio waves emitted by the remote device (RD).
