The present invention relates to a process for straightening and frizz reduction of hair which leaves hair in one part straight and volumeless and the remaining part may still have the curly appearance but not frizzy at all. It has been found out when treating hair at the parts where the straight appearance is preferred with a composition comprising higher concentration of hair straightening ingredient and straightening the said part with an iron at relatively higher temperature and treating the remaining parts with a composition comprising the same straightening ingredient at a lower concentration and treating the said parts with an iron at relatively lower temperature provides hair structures which appear to be straight and with low volume in one part which is the part closer to the scalp and, curly and voluminous but not frizzy at the remaining parts which is usually the lengths.

Hair treatment process

A process for making a hair dye preparation involving: (a) providing an aqueous surface-active fatty alcohol dispersion containing: (i) a fatty alcohol; and (ii) a surfactant; (b) providing an oil component; (c) providing a hair dye component; and (d) combining (a)-(c), at a temperature of from 18 to 25&deg; C., to form the hair dye preparation.

Method for producing hair coloring preparations with improved viscosity

A stable, aqueous hair dyeing emulsion with good Theological properties is prepared, while simultaneously substantially reducing the manufacturing time and energy consumption, comprising at least one oxidation hair dyestuff precursor, by mixing a water-in-oil emulsion, comprising 10% to 50% by weight of at least one nonionic emulsifier, 10% to 50% by weight of at least one nonionic co-emulsifier selected from the group of C -C -fatty alcohols, C -C -fatty acid mono- and dialkanolamides and/or C -C -fatty acid esters with polyvalent alcohols, 5% to 40% by weight of oleic acid, and up to 25%, in particular 20% by weight of water, each calculated to the total w/o-emulsion composition, with an aqueous phase comprising at least one water-soluble surfactant. Mixing is carried out under shear force at 15&deg; to 30&deg; C., preferably at room temperature at about 20&deg; to 25&deg;.

Process for the preparation of stable aqueous hair dyeing emulsions

A simplified process is presented for the preparation of stable, aqueous hair dyeing emulsions, comprising at least one oxidation hair dyestuff precursor, by first preparing a homogenous oily phase comprising at least one oil-soluble emulsifier by mixing the oil components at an increased temperature between 40&deg; and 80&deg; C., and subsequently mixing this oily phase with an aqueous phase, comprising at least one water-soluble emulsifier under shearing force at a temperature between 15&deg; and 30&deg; C. Compared to conventional processes of hot emulsification, this process substantially reduces the preparation time.

Composition for the dyeing of human hair

The invention concerns a composition for brightening, gloss improvement and, optionally, dyeing of human hair, in particular of permanently waved hair, which contains 0.5 to 12% by weight hydrogen peroxide, and optionally, at least one direct-acting hair dye in an aqueous carrier, having a Brookfield viscosity of 1,000 to 10,000 mPa.s at 25.degree. C.
