A method is provided for emergency unlocking of an automatic transmission in a vehicle. The transmission may be unlocked from a blocked state for protection against unauthorized use, by an emergency unlocking unit. Upon actuation of the emergency unlocking unit, the automatic transmission cannot be operated in a forward driving mode.

Method for unlocking an automatic transmission in an emergency

A control system for an automatically shifting transmission is described. A direct upshifting or downshifting starting from the automatic mode is permitted, by using a corresponding programming of the electronic control device when a certain selecting device is operated, without transition into the manual mode taking place. A gear change following this upshifting or downshifting is implemented, corresponding to the shifting logic of the automatic mode. In the case of a multiple operation, multiple direct upshifts or downshifts can also be permitted, without leaving the automatic mode.

Differential gearing for vehicles, having a gearing input and two gearing output shafts which exit on mutually opposite sides of a differential gearing housing from the differential gearing housing, having a differential holder which is arranged in the differential gearing housing in the area between the gearing output shafts, the differential holder being rotatably disposed in the differential gearing housing by means of a ball bearing arrangement which has a bearing prestress. At least one disk spring is provided which generates the bearing prestress of the ball bearing arrangement.
