The application relates to a test device for a speaker module of a listening device, the speaker module comprising a speaker unit for converting an electric output signal to an output sound. The application further relates to a test system and to a data update device. An object of the present application is to provide an alternative scheme for identifying a receiver (speaker) in a listening device, e.g. a hearing aid. The problem is solved in that the test device being a separate device adapted for being electrically connected to the speaker module in a test situation, but not during normal operation of the listening device. An advantage of the invention is that it provides a flexible alternative to a receiver identification solution that is integrated into the listening device.

A listening system, e.g. a hearing aid system, including a charging station and one or more listening devices, e.g. hearing instruments. The hearing aid system includes a) a hearing instrument including a rechargeable battery for energizing the hearing instrument, and a volatile data memory, wherein basic data for the configuration of the hearing instrument are stored during normal operation, b) a charging station adapted for allowing a hearing instrument to be mounted and the battery to be recharged without removing the battery from the hearing instrument, and c) a connection allowing communication between the charging station and the hearing instrument, to allow the basic data for the configuration of the hearing instrument to be transferred from the data memory of the charging station to the data memory of the hearing instrument, when the hearing instrument is mounted in the charging station.

A rechargeable battery is provided comprising a flexible elongate electron conductive core surrounded by a first electrochemically active layer, and a second electrochemically active layer, separated by a separation layer and where an electron conducting element contacts the outer surface of the second electrochemically active layer, whereby at least one of the two electrochemically active layers and the separation layer are comprised of thin-film layers. Further a hearing aid is provided wherein a battery comprising thin film layers is provided. Such a battery may be curled or wound to accommodate an irregular space inside the hearing aid.

The present invention relates to a surface mounted coil () for wireless communication. The coil () comprises a wire () wounded about a core () thereby establishing a plurality of windings and having its ends terminated on mounting sections () at each end of the core (). The coil () further comprises a shielding layer () wound about a central part of the core () thereby covering said windings. The shielding layer () comprises a shielding pattern and a contact section () for connecting to a ground level and to the shielding pattern.

The invention concerns a microphone with a membrane. The membrane has a first side which is in fluid contact with the surroundings and a second side which is facing a back chamber, where a barometric relief opening or vent opening is provided between the back chamber and the surroundings. According to the invention control means are provided for controlling the barometric relief opening.

The invention concerns a hearing aid with at least one primary sound to electric converting transducer converting sounds in the environment into electrical signals and a signal processing unit for amplifying the electrical signal according to the needs of the user and an electrical to sound transducer for receiving the amplified electrical signal and delivering a sound signal to the ear wherein at least one further sound to electrical transducer is provided. The said further transducer has a sensitivity to wind noise which is smaller than the sensitivity to wind noise of the primary transducer and further the signal processing unit has means for detecting the level of wind noise in the signal from the primary sound to electric converting transducer. According to the invention also selecting means are provided for selecting the signal to be amplified from either the primary&#x2014;or the at least one further sound to electrical transducer.
