A modular floorstanding centrifuge comprising at least the following modules, the modules being preassembled, coherent components capable of being mounted as a whole, including a floor plate, a wall module adapted to be mounted on the floor plate together with two side wall elements capable of being attached to opposing edge regions of the floor plate, and a ceiling element adapted to interconnect the side wall elements, and a guard ring module adapted to be mounted on the wall module and comprising a guard ring attached to at least one side wall element and/or a ceiling element, wherein the ceiling element and the at least one side wall element are joined together and the at least one side wall element is mounted on the ceiling element such that it is capable of being attached to an edge region of the ceiling element pertaining to the underlying wall module.

Modular floorstanding centrifuge

A gripper unit for handling a vessel for receiving biological material is proposed, inter alia. The vessel has a lid which can assume an open position and a closed position. The gripper unit comprises a gripper for gripping and releasing the vessel, and a lid holder, for holding a lid in a defined position in relation to the vessel. The defined position is an open position of the lid.

Apparatus for processing biological material

An adapter for taking up a sample container and for use in a laboratory centrifuge rotor, the adapter including a closed end, an opened end and closure assembly that releasably seals the opened end. The closed end and the opened end can be of a certain diameter. The adapter can also be a certain shape. The closure assembly can also include a handle, flange, a hold down ring, a sealing ring and bottom support for the sealing ring, hold down ring, flange and handle.

Centrifuge adapter and closure

The invention relates to a rotor for laboratory centrifuges which is designed for accommodating at least one centrifugation container, and an adapter for accommodating a sample vessel and for use in a laboratory centrifuge rotor. The rotor has at least one hold-down element by which the at least one centrifugation container is held in the rotor and protected from axial displacement. In addition, a contact pressure may be produced on the at least one centrifugation container on the rotor.

The present invention relates to a rotor for laboratory centrifuges, the rotor including a rotor housing that is open to the top and at least one recess for taking up centrifuge containers, with the recess being formed in the peripheral area of the rotor as a concentric, circumferential ring trough having an inner wall and an outer wall and with the ring trough being stiffened in a spoke-type manner in such a way using centrifuge containers that are distributed radially and over the circumference of the ring trough that the centrifuge containers support the inner wall and the outer wall rigidly against one another. Furthermore, an adapter for receiving a sample container and for use in such a rotor is suggested.

Rotor for laboratory centrifuges

A rotor assembly for a laboratory centrifuge includes a rotor body having a loading region encircled by an annular first bearing surface. A lid is configured to be removably secured to the rotor body so as to substantially cover the loading region. The lid includes an annular second bearing surface. Disposed between the lid and the rotor body when the two are secured together is an annular sealing element. The sealing element has a substantially U-shaped transverse cross section and includes an outward facing annular base. An annular first sealing lip projects inward from the upper end of the base and is biased in sealed engagement with the second bearing surface of the lid. An annular second sealing lip projects inward from the lower end of the base and is biased in sealed engagement with second bearing surface of the rotor body. An annular collecting groove is formed on the sealing element between the first sealing lip and the second sealing lip. The base is supported by an annular jacket flange formed on the perimeter of the rotor assembly.
