The invention relates to a calibrating plate for an extrusion die for producing plastic profiles, comprising a substantially plate-shaped basic body (), in which an opening () for guiding and calibrating the plastic profile () to be produced is provided, with at least one insert part () made of a material with high hardness being inserted into the basic body (), which insert part comprises at least one holding section () and a shaping section (), with both the holding section () as well as the shaping section () being formed partly as cylindrical surfaces with generatrices parallel to the extrusion axis (), and with the insert part () being held in the axial direction in the plate-shaped basic body () by a delimiting stop (). A longer service life and a simpler adjustment can be achieved in such a way that the holding section () comprises a groove () which extends in the direction of extrusion (), and that the delimitation stop () is arranged at one end of the groove (), which stop protrudes from the groove ().

Calibrating plate for an extrusion die for producing plastic profiles

The invention relates to a method for producing plastic profiles comprised of at least one hard profile strand (), for example, consisting of hard PVC, and of at least one soft profile strand (), for example, consisting of soft PVC, whereby both profile strands () are simultaneously produced by separate extrusion nozzles () and are cooled in a cooling device (). A secure joining can be effected using simple means by leading the soft profile strand () directly out or the extruder () and into a cooling bath (), inside of which it is completely cooled, and the hard profile strand () and the soft profile strand () are subsequently joined under pressure.

Method and device for producing plastic profiles

The invention relates to a device for determining the operational status of an extruder that is used for the productive of a plastic profile. At least one measuring device for determining the quality of the melt is provided in an adapter part between an extrusion cylinder () and an extrusion nozzle (). An especially exact determination of the extruder state is possible if the measuring device comprises a tube through which melt is continuously drawn off from the adapter part during the measurement and on which at least one pressure is disposed.

The invention relates to a method for adjusting an extrusion die in an extruder by recording at least one master flow curve () in a first extruder to which the extrusion die is optimized, in which curve the volume flow is entered over the pressure, which master flow curve () is obtained in a measuring channel () which branches off in the extruder, the extrusion die or in any interposed adapter part from the flow channel (), and the repeated recording of flow curves () in the same or similar measuring channels () as in the first extruder after the assembly of the extrusion tool in the extruder to be checked and adjusted, and the purposeful change of process parameters for such a time until the flow curves () correspond to the master flow curves () within predetermined tolerance ranges.

Method and an apparatus for adjusting an extrusion die in an extruder

A device for the extrusion of plastic profiles with an extruder for the melting and delivery of a plastic material and with an extrusion die for defining the profile geometry, wherein a profile slot corresponding to the profile to be extruded and being defined by an outer periphery and by at least one arbor is provided in the extrusion die. The profile tuning is made easier by having a means for operational change of the profile slot's thickness provided in at least one predetermined area between the arbor and the outer periphery as well as a means for cooling selected areas of the extruded profile provided at the exit of the die.

Device for the extrusion of plastic profiles

The invention relates to an apparatus for cooling and calibrating extruded plastic profiles with a trough which is provided downstream of a dry calibrating device and has a water bath through which the profile is guided, with plates being arranged in the trough between the face walls in order to calibrate the profile under the influence of negative pressure. In order to achieve a high production speed with a low amount of expenditure it is proposed that a sleeve encompassing the profile is provided in a section of the trough, which sleeve guides at least in a zone of the main body of the profile and that the sleeve is provided with a distance to the face walls in the longitudinal direction.

Apparatus for cooling and calibrating extruded plastic profiles

A dimensionally stable plastics section, for example a window section, formed from a plastics extrudate and being provided thereon with an extruded layer, for example a sealing or damping device or a protective strip, is manufactured by extruding the section, calibrating it, and cooling it to ensure its dimensional stability, heating part of the surface of the section, to which the layer is to be applied, extruding the layer onto the heated part of the surface of the section so that the extruded layer is bonded thereto and using a take-up device to grip the finished section to remove it.
