A computer input device includes a housing in the shape of a magnifying glass having a lens portion and a handle portion extending from the lens portion. The device also includes a detector mounted in the housing and operable to detect an element displayed on a computer display and to generate a corresponding detection signal and an actuator mounted on the housing. Circuitry mounted in the housing is operable to receive the detection signal, generate an actuation signal in response to actuation of the actuator, and transmit the detection signal and the actuation signal to a computer. The housing may include a partially reflective, angularly disposed beam splitter such that a user can observe an image on a computer screen through the beam splitter, and the image can be reflected to the detector. The computer may have software operable to control an image displayed on the computer monitor in response to the detection signal.

The toy vehicle is comprised of a chassis composed of a relatively hard plastic and a body composed of a relatively soft, elastomeric plastic. The chassis includes a box-like frame having upstanding walls, each of said walls having an outwardly issuing flange adjacent the upper edge thereof. The body is formed with walls forming a downwardly facing recess, each wall having adjacent its upper edge an outwardly directed groove for receiving therein the various flanges on the upstanding walls of the box-like frame. Owing to the elasticity of the body, the walls forming the downwardly facing recess can be flexed or stretched so as to permit the flanges on the upstanding walls to be introduced into the grooves and retained therein when the elastomeric material constituting the body is allowed to contract or return to its non deformed condition. In this way, the chassis and body are firmly held together and constitute for all intents and purposes a unitary structure with which the child can play.

A game ball is comprised of an outer layer of foamed polyurethane plastic having a density of approximately 15 pounds per cubic foot, the layer having an external integral skin having a density of 20-30 pounds per cubic foot providing a protective cover and an integral inner skin having a density of 20-30 pounds per cubic foot providing a cavity in which a core ball of resilient material is contained. The core ball has a density of 70-76 pounds per cubic foot and a lesser degree of compressibility than the foamed layer of polyurethane plastic. The core ball is lubricated by carbon contained in the core ball when fabricated from natural rubber and by means of a lubricating film when fabricated from natural rubber and polybutadiene so that in either case the core ball is free to move or shift within the cavity when the baseball is impacted by a bat.

The toy construction set includes a plurality of blocks and at least one base plate. Each of the blocks has one or more axially shiftable and rotatable coupling cams mounted therein which can be projected from the bottom of the block to effect vertical attachment with another block or with the base plate, using a suitable hand tool to do so. The preferred base plate contains a number of appropriately located coupling cams so that it can be attached either above or below a number of blocks.
