A content delivery system and method for use with plurality of digital multimedia data processing systems and legacy systems spanning across one or more network environments. The system and method enable users with freedom of mobility while maintaining access to the user's selected content while the user transitions from one device in one location to a different device in a difference location, substantially without interruption and without the need for user action to turn on and off these target data processing systems. The Instant Invention can provide high bandwidth content delivery solutions based upon hardware and software components by activating a target device while the system is proximate to the target device and, in one embodiment, automatically redirecting the content while the system is proximate to a new target device without user intervention. The target devices include digital multimedia data processing systems and legacy systems including, but not limited to, HDTVs, TV, Personal Computers, digital music systems, printers, radios, and fax machines.

A method and system for efficiently deploying (also sometimes referred to as distributing and/or installing) a computer device's software image using a single portable image using an alternate partition for loading the image on the storage (hard drive) along with selected patches chosen for the configuration of the computer. The single image is processed using delta image patching technology to allow the single image to be customized and operable (work on) the particular computer, where the single portable image is adapted to operate on a large number of diverse computer device platforms.

Method and system for deploying a software image

A system and method for recovering from a computer system crashing as a result of the storage disk suffering physical damage and/or the corruption of an application, operating system, and/or data. The computer system may be standalone or a part of a communication network. The computer includes a hard disk storage divided into a primary partition containing a unique operating system for executing application programs and a recovery partition containing a unique operating system for executing application programs and for backup data storage. A boot track storing a boot manager, a backup status information file for establishing communication between the operating systems of the primary and recovery partitions, and a status validation file verifying the integrity of the backup status information file.

Client/server data traffic delivery system and method

An apparatus including a support plate with a 'U' shaped flange formed with serrated confronting teeth for securement to a visor of an automobile. The support plate includes a plurality of spaced, elongate magnetic plates with conductive strip members orthogonally mounted to opposed lateral elongate edges of each of the strips. Aligned between each of the strips is a first and second recess of dissimilar geometric configurations for complementarily receiving a first and second projection mounted to a top surface of a radar detector receivable within each of the respective recesses. A first and second securement plate is magnetically attachable to each of the conductive strip pairs for selective securement of the detector to the conductive strip pairs, and wherein each of the securment plates are in electrical communication with the radar detector, and wherein each of the first and second conductive plates includes an individual electrical wire for providing efficient and immediate electrical communication of the radar detector to the automotive circuitry. A modification of the securement plate includes a 'U' shaped recess to receive a 'U' shaped magnetic strip therewithin. A modification of the support plate includes a plurality of straps provided with hook and loop fastener attachment portions for securement about an automotive sun visor.
