An arrangement for adjusting a powder flow in relation to the central longitudinal axis of an energy beam for a working head which is formed for powder application welding. There is a device for the two-dimensional or three-dimensional alignment of the powder supply in relation to the central longitudinal axis of the energy beam in a plane oriented at right angles to the central longitudinal axis of the energy beam. From one side, a linear beam is directed to the region in which the particles of the powdery material meet one another. At right angles thereto, there is arranged an optical detector array for locally resolved detection of intensities connected to an electronic evaluation unit designed to determine the shape, size and/or length of an irradiated region in which locally resolved intensities which exceed a predefinable threshold have been detected with the optical detector array. The irradiated region reaches from the surfaces of particles which the laser beam strikes with reduced power during the adjustment as far as a sub-region of the irradiated region which is arranged in the direction of a workpiece surface of accelerated powdery particles, in which the particles heated by the laser beam move divergently.

A component, especially contrived and designed for being used in a turbomachine, includes a high-temperature coating being arranged above a base of the component. The base has at least one structural element for connecting it to the high-temperature coating, with the cross-section of the at least one structural element having at least three different widths, i.e. a base width at the lower end of the at least one structural element, a center width above it, and a tip width above that, where on average the center width is greater than or equal to the base width, but less than four times the base width, in particular less than or equal to three times the base width.

An apparatus and method are provided for laser deposition welding of powdery welding material. The powdery welding material is conveyed via a nozzle coaxial with respect to a laser beam directed in a focused manner with a constant focal length onto a processing region through the nozzle onto the processing region. Optical elements are arranged in a laser optical unit for the shaping and guidance of the laser beam. The laser optical unit is attached to a processing head and can be moved with the processing head parallel to the laser beam by a first drive. The plane of the focal point can thereby be changed with respect to the surface. The nozzle can be moved independently of the laser optical unit parallel to the optical axis of the laser beam by a second drive.
