In a method for operating a motor vehicle having an internal combustion engine, pre-heating measures () for reaching operating temperatures for components of the exhaust-gas post-treatment system and/or for a lambda probe of the motor vehicle are provided prior to the departure () of the motor vehicle. The activation of a transducer () by a driver of the motor vehicle for explicitly announcing an impending departure of the motor vehicle is provided as the trigger for the pre-heating measures (), in particular for avoiding an unnecessary initiation of pre-heating measures.

The invention relates to a fuel cell installation comprising a fuel cell unit (). Said installation is also provided with a dosing unit () which comprises at least one dosing valve () and is used to dose a fuel () for at least one anode () of the fuel cell unit (), and a starting valve for dosing the fuel () for at least one cathode () of the fuel cell unit () during a starting phase. The aim of the invention is to be able to produce and operate one such fuel cell installation in an economical manner. With known mixture delivery devices for introducing a reducing agent into an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, a urea/water solution, with pressurized gas added, is introduced into an angled region of the exhaust system, upstream of a catalytic converter in order to produce the reduction of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust of the engine. With the new mixture delivery device, an annular spray body is incorporated into the exhaust system, which device has a continuous distributor conduit as well as spray conduits by way of which the mixture, which is supplied by a mixture conveying line and is comprised of pressurized gas and urea/water solution, is delivered to the exhaust flow upstream of the catalytic converter. The mixture delivery device is particularly suited for delivering a urea/water solution upstream of the catalytic converter in the exhaust system of a mixture-compressing, self-igniting internal combustion engine.

A mixture delivery device for introducing a reducing agent into an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine in which, a urea-water solution is introduced into a region of the exhaust gas system, upstream of a catalytic converter, through the introduction of compressed air, in order to bring about the reduction of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine. The mixture delivery device includes a mixture carrying line, with a first section that extends laterally to the exhaust gas flow and a second section that extends concentrically to a longitudinal axis of the exhaust gas system. The mixture carrying line is inserted into the exhaust gas system, wherein the urea-water solution is injected in the form of a cone into the exhaust gas upstream of the catalytic converter via blow-out openings embodied radially in the second section. The mixture delivery device is particularly suited for delivering a urea-water solution upstream of the catalytic converter in the exhaust gas system of a mixture compressing, spontaneously igniting internal combustion engine.
