The two housing portions are connected to each other. The silencer housing has at least one housing opening formed therein and an outlet pipe extends through the silencer housing in the region of the housing opening. A mixer assembly unit, especially for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, includes a mixer body () with an incoming flow side () and with an outflow side () and with a plurality of flow deflection elements (). A carrier area () is provided radially outwards in relation to a mixer longitudinal axis (L) at the mixer body (). The carrier area () has an exhaust gas guide element connection area () for permanent connection to a preferably tubular exhaust gas guide element (). Radially outside of the exhaust gas guide element connection area (), a flange coupling section () couples with a flange coupling section () of another exhaust gas guide element ().

An exhaust system includes a mixer assembly unit () with a mixer body () with an incoming flow side () and with an outflow side () and with a plate shaped carrier element () with a radially outward carrier element body (). The mixer body includes a plurality of flow deflection elements () and a holding area (). The carrier element includes a counter-holding area () connected in substance to a holding area. The mixer assembly unit is arranged in a junction area of two tubular exhaust gas guide elements (). The exhaust gas guide elements include flange shaped coupling sections. The carrier element body is arranged between the flange shaped coupling sections of the exhaust gas guide elements. A coupling element engages the flange shaped coupling sections and extends over the coupling sections on axial sides oriented facing away from one another radially inwards.

Exhaust system and mixer assembly unit for an exhaust system

An exhaust system, especially for an internal combustion engine in a vehicle, includes at least one sensor carrier unit () carried on an exhaust gas-carrying element (). The sensor carrier unit () includes a sensor carrier element () fixed to the exhaust gas-carrying element (). A plurality of sensor pipe connections (), that are fitted or can be fitted with sensors, are provided on the sensor carrier element (). The plurality of sensor pipe connections () each have at least one respective sensor-mounting/measuring opening () formed therein.

A pipe connection wall () adjoins the mixer connection area and has a wall inner surface (). A mixer body carrier wall () adjoins the mixer connection area, carries the mixer body, and is enclosed by the pipe connection wall. A first transition surface () adjoins the wall and is arched essentially continuously concavely between the wall inner surface and the wall outer surface, and axially defines a ring-shaped pipe-mounting intermediate space () between the pipe connection wall and the mixer body carrier wall.

An injection device (), for introducing a reducing agent () into an exhaust gas stream () of an exhaust system () of an internal combustion engine (), has an exhaust pipe () for guiding the exhaust gas stream (), which has a connecting piece opening () in a wall (). A connecting piece () is inserted with an inner end () into the connecting piece opening () and is provided for connecting an injector () at an outer end (). Simplified assembly is achieved if the connecting piece () has, at an inner end (), a laterally projecting, fully circumferentially extending collar (). The collar () is in contact, on an inner side () of the wall (), with an opening edge () enclosing the connecting piece opening () and is welded to the wall ().

Injection device and corresponding method for manufacturing same

A mixer (), for an exhaust system () for mixing and/or evaporating a liquid () in an exhaust gas flow (), especially for an SCR system (), includes a plurality of guide blades () arranged in a star-shaped pattern. Simplified manufacturability of the mixer () is achieved if the guide blades () are connected each with a centrally arranged core () radially on the inside and if the guide blades (). The guide blades () and the core () are formed by an integral cast part ().

A component () of an exhaust system () for an internal combustion engine (), of a motor vehicle, has a housing including a shell (), two end bottoms () and an intermediate bottom (). The shell () encloses an interior space () of the housing () in a circumferential direction (). A holding pipe (), for connection of the component () to a system periphery (), is radially held on the intermediate bottom () in the interior space (), passes through one end bottom (), is fastened thereon and is closed off in a gas-tight manner.
